Micro Center Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

To be honest, the tuition reimbursement

Review from Sales Dept

Love to be on commission, health benefits are great

Review from Sales Dept

ability for bonus at the end of every quarter

Review from Operations Dept

To me the 401K and Healthcare

Review from Sales Dept

Maybe not the best part but i really like the access perk app.

Review from Sales Dept

I really like the 401k matching options.

Review from Sales Dept

I like the friends and family discount

Review from Operations Dept

there isnt anything good aside from the insurrance

Review from Sales Dept

Nice to know it's there if I need it.

Review from Sales Dept

I like getting gift cards when u perform good

the best part about this is the health insurance

Review from Sales Dept

Employee purchase program, PTO, healthcare coverage

Review from Operations Dept

All the benefits that are included

Review from Sales Dept

improvements are needed on our health care plans

Review from Sales Dept

The best part of my compensation package is its balance of financial benefits and support for personal well-being. Competitive pay, paired with perks like health insurance, retirement contributions, or professional development opportunities, reflects a commitment to both my career and personal growt

Review from Sales Dept

I don't worry about it.

Review from Executive Dept

I appreciate Microcenter's commission-based compensation package, as it directly rewards hard work and performance, allowing employees to earn based on the effort they put in.

Review from Sales Dept

Compensation is based on production.

it is great and it is great

Review from Sales Dept

The pay is good. Recent 401 enhancement is nice

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

BYO and Systems are allowed to sell in general sales and it feels as though I am working to help those departments sell more while struggling to meet my customers per hour metric. They also dont contribute as much to the maintenance of the department even though they sell there too.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel that there are many daily responsibilities from dusting the aisles, grabbing returns, organizing the shelves, and doing downstocking reports especially during truck days that interfere with the main goal of helping customers. Any kind of incentive for completing these would be appreciated.

Review from Sales Dept

If there was a clear statement of compensation growth by length of time in the company.

Review from Operations Dept

I do not like the commission-based pay for service technicians. I think a set, base-pay with spiffs as a bonus would be better

More money is helpful to payoff bills

Review from Sales Dept

The way Dallas Microcenter handles service plan sales, has made a very toxic setting between Front end cashiers and Sales floor employees. When a sales associate puts time and effort to convince customer to get plan the cashiers somehow manage to take credit even after proper steps are taken

Review from Sales Dept

After Bidenflation, now Trump Tariffs, and you keep killing pay for service and sales. Took away commission pool on web orders. KEEP PROMOTING WEB ORDERS on YOUTUBE instead of speaking with PRO SALES. People think we are Amazon. We have 2 warehouse associates. We deserve more than $4/hour on truck.

Review from Sales Dept

Just a raise is all... and more hours I am starving at the moment and management made me take a week off without warning or reason.

competitive pay for positions alike in the area / pay matching workload

Review from Operations Dept

Since compensation for technicians is based on labor per hour, it feels very stressful to maintain your desired hourly wage.

Performance based compensation. It is crazy that as a Service Supervisor there is performance based pay and my techs can out earn me. Allow me to use my store discount online too.

Job repsonibikity has largely expanded past oroginal job description.

Service needs a way/change for us to make the same type of money or opportunity when selling parts specifically. We are capable of explaining and finding parts for customers just as much as BYO, or any other department. We take time out of our work to go back and forth and should be compensated.

I feel like with the work I put in and the customer service I provide, I am underpaid. I feel as if I have been working harder than ever before, and my check is going lower and lower.

Review from Sales Dept

My position is hourly and since learning the position better, it is a lot for one person to complete in a timely fashion. I feel there is not enough time in a day and I often feel behind and constantly catching up on tasks.

Review from Sales Dept

Pay in this company is not determined based on the role/job that is being completed but rather based on what you have been previously paid in other roles. I make less than the employees I manage. Pay increases and reviews are not conducted on a regular basis and I didn't receive either last year.

Review from Operations Dept

We didn't even get cost of living increases last year and then they increased the cost of the health insurance. Managers push for performance only because they get a bonus if you do well. Where's the bonus or pay raise for those actually doing the work?

Review from Operations Dept

If we were paid a higher base pay for hours where we aren't open and can't be selling, since selling is what makes up 99% of our pay.

Review from Sales Dept

Consistency on yearly reviews and clear communication of the pay structure.

Review from Operations Dept

We need to be paid better to merchandise. I can't be spending half of my shift making $4 an hour while my coworkers make $40+
