What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to get better at being on the same page about how disagreements between employees should be handled. And not put cashiers on a higher pedestal than the rest of employees

The 5090 Launch was terrible. First come first serve created an unsightly camp outside of the building for more than two weeks that put people at risk of illness and injury. Uncool. We need to do a QR code or a raffle or something that prevents a big stinky mass of bodies camping on the building.

On boarding and communication. I have been with the organization for just over a month and the reality doesn't align with what is taught during the gear onboarding. Instead of learning from best practices I have been thrusted in to situations where I have no reference on how to handle.

Leadership without implementing micromanagement and threats of demotion. I am personally more inspired by leadership by example, and at our store I feel like the management strategy could not be further from that.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

BYO and Systems are allowed to sell in general sales and it feels as though I am working to help those departments sell more while struggling to meet my customers per hour metric. They also dont contribute as much to the maintenance of the department even though they sell there too.

I feel that there are many daily responsibilities from dusting the aisles, grabbing returns, organizing the shelves, and doing downstocking reports especially during truck days that interfere with the main goal of helping customers. Any kind of incentive for completing these would be appreciated.

Pay, training, and customer foot traffic. There is no advertisement. All customers that come in state "I didn't know this place was here"

finding more ways to reward employees outside of sales numbers

I think everyone could pitch in on some busy work more evenly so that sales could also be distributed more evenly

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

BYO and Systems selling in General Sales is demotivating and makes it feel like General Sales associates are not needed at times except to maintain the department. Customer handoffs also don't happen as often as they should because I sometimes see a BYO associate sell in General sales with no call.

Dealing with customers is sometimes draining.

There was a long stretch of time when I loved this job, but after a while it becomes dificult to maintain that enthusiasm, especially when things get in the way of what makes us money. I'm not here to work for free.
