Generally very good from a venue, food and overall quality standpoint. Poor on business value as leadership at Microsoft is very poor until you get to the very top, and then only on the product side of the business.

Depends on your team. Some outings are local (dinner, golf, skiing) and some are big. I enjoy all the things Microsoft provides for employees, especially the free concerts for interns (Katy Perry and Macklemore).
