What do you like best about the leadership team?
My direct manager fights for me. The leadership above him, is terrible at fighting for us. They continually make decisions that is a direct contradiction to what the team needs & how we can best serve our stakeholders.

I like that they empower us to take ownership of our areas
They make themselves openly accessible
A good amount of them seem to emphasize WLB and personal connection, as well as delivering results. not all of them though.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They don't care about the people who work for them. They care only for their perception of your value, biased by their own excessive privilege.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The benefits are the best part of the compensation package. Microsoft has been increasingly reducing the budget for bonuses/stock payouts. And merit increases are barely even matching inflation rates. Compensation overall does not reflect performance.

parental leave is good in comparison to other companies.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
PAY. Microsoft is known for paying low and having low refreshers and promotional increases. Even if they never get up to industry standards, they should at least strive to get halfway there. They have the capital to do so. Definitely needs to be more than what it is.
After working for a company for 17 years you would think there are more chances to move up, but instead the likable employees move ahead and then block you so you don't make them look inadequate.

Employee surveys need to be how a leader gets compensated. If they don't support their employees, they are not doing a good job.

Was a pretty easy process
Well structured, not too bloated.
The openness to consider candidates with any background to have a diversity of employees

Maybe stop lying and creating all those fake job postings
Communication! There is a lack comms during the interview process
Select via standard interview questions. Stop taking people just be recommendation and backdoor
Be more transparent about the culture of rewards and compensation. More based on popularity than pure individual contribution.

We are viewed as a Vendor. Not treated like partners and I guess there is enough of a stain left by previous leadership to warrant caution
Change is not possible because change is irrelevant. Any instance of so called changed would only be window dressing.
