Inclusive hiring approach was quite evident and Hiring Manager was super helpful with me as a candidate

They were all personable people who quickly listened to my background and placed me where I need to be within the company (role different than what I interviewed for)

Interviewers are empathetic and are not there to trick you

Good question but folks would like to hear only thing which they want to

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Communication! There is a lack comms during the interview process

Select via standard interview questions. Stop taking people just be recommendation and backdoor

Be more transparent about the culture of rewards and compensation. More based on popularity than pure individual contribution.

Microsoft needs to drop its practice of discriminating in hiring based on demographic. At Microsoft each interview pool must contain a certian number of people based on demographic and hiring managers must justify why they arwnt hiring a "diverse" candidate,

MS likes to have interviews back to back (4-5) and does not let the interviewer know what they covering

Review from Sales Dept

It was slow and communication is poor. It's the worst thing about Microsoft and needs an overhaul.

Review from Product Dept

Be more aware of diverse backgrounds and the value they can bring. Some of the long time managers in Microsoft have poor awareness and they dont therefore know how to be inclusive of diverse backgrounds

Stop white-boarding in interviews if the candidate already has a track-record.

Stop white-boarding. Rely more on experience and track record.

Review from Engineering Dept

The interview process can be quite long

The interview process at Microsoft is very slow and inconsistent

Review from Customer Support Dept

There should be some kind of program to help you transition between organizations. Right now, it's up to you to do all of the work, make extra time for informationals and interviews, and you're not able to drop a level or two if you want to change careers paths.
