What unique perks and benefits does Midigator provide?
70% (employee only - no dependents) insurance with $3k deductible. Other than that - absolutely NO unique perks. Not to say that the insurance is unique - maybe uniquely selfish.
What's the office layout like at Midigator?
Remote so it is what you make it.
How much diversity is there among employees at Midigator?
2 out of the 100+ employees I worked with were NOT Caucasian. Pretty even split between men & women at the ground level however as you move up the chain there are less and less women until you arrive at the ownership team which is all Male (3/3).
How's the morale at Midigator?
I’ve never worked for a company where I had the opportunity to observe great people go from positivity to silence so quickly. At the ownership level they are completely out of touch with their employees!!
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Midigator?
That it was destined to fail.
How's the leadership on the Executive team at Midigator?
Leadership would NOT be a word used to describe the Midigator executive team in any way!
How long do the interviews usually take at Midigator?
This will depend upon how close you are to the owners family(s). No worries though - they don’t dig much.
How would you compare interviewing at Midigator to other places you've interviewed?
What goes in (employees) typically is what comes out (work & success). Midigator relies on heresay and recommendations rather than work history and strong interview processes. The interview is just formality - if the owners buddies like you, you are in.
How flexible is your work schedule at Midigator?
They will tell you things like, “we are all in this together. We are going to make mistakes and learn from them & grow as a team. Your input and ideas are what we need to grow.” Those are just to sugar coat the facade. Your schedule is 100% flexible as long as you are always available via telegram, Skype, Lattice, wework, email and phone.
What does the ideal candidate in the Executive department look like at Midigator?
Since there are NO job descriptions - the IDEAL candidate does not exist.
What kind of interview questions do they ask when hiring someone in the Executive department at Midigator?
The process is VERY informal. More of a conversation than direct questions. Mostly because they have no idea exactly what they are looking for.
What's the work from home policy like at Midigator?
There’s no “policy”. You want to work from home - you work from home.
Does Midigator drug test or do a background check?
The use of “Midigator”, “drug test” and/or “background check” is really funny. They wouldn’t spend money on those things unless it was a federal mandate!
What's the internship program like at Midigator?
There is no internship program at Midigator although, they would love to pay everyone like interns.
How does Midigator measure success and growth in the Executive department?
The smallest amount of compensation provided that equates the maximum growth. Unfortunately they are so busy changing strategies and employees that no traction has ever been established.
What skills do you need to be successful in the Executive department at Midigator?
1) Family friend of the owners. 2) Ability to say yes to the ideas of ownership knowing they are ridiculous while being confident enough to do the things that should be done to get results. Then sit back and watch the ownership & executive team take the credit for your effort.
How are layoffs handled in the Executive department at Midigator?
Absolutely zero notice given. You get to work and receive a phone call with one owner and the CFO asking for your personal email to send a separation contract. 2 minutes into the call your email and all Midigator related sign o s for software are frozen. You are told to box up your stuff and leave. THIS COMPANY IS A DEAD END!!!!
How are the career growth opportunities on the Executive team at Midigator?
I just spit out my coffee. Career growth and Midigator used together is known as an oxymoron.
What's the best part of your job at Midigator?
I love going home and forgetting the horrible decision I made to take the job at Midigator!
What are you most excited about working at Midigator?
It’s nice to think you can help improve others lives through positive cyber crime prevention & management - unfortunately the owners have ensured you can’t do that at Midigator.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Midigator?
The random unexplained layoffs off good employers combined with favoritism by the owners has made this place TOXIC. It might never get fixed at this point as great people & employees are leaving to choose healthier environments and leaving the Midigator career graveyard. SAD!!
