Mr. Michael J. Dolan, also known as Mike, has been Senior Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation since April 1, 2008. Mr. Dolan served as Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation from September 1, 2004 to March 31, 2008. He served as President of ExxonMobil Chemical Company since August 1, 2004. He served as Deputy President of ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company until August 2004 and joined in it since 1980. During his career, he has managed many of the major product groups in ExxonMobil Chemical Company. In 2001, he moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he served as Executive Vice President at ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia. He joined UOP in Des Plaines, Ill., as a Technical Service Engineer. He worked in R&D and then as a field Technical Service Engineer in refineries, United States and abroad. In 1980, he joined Mobil at the Paulsboro, N.J., research labs and worked in a variety of research, planning and technical service positions. In 1989, he was named technical manager at Mobil's Refinery in Adelaide, Australia. He returned to the United States in 1991 to manage the chemical section of Mobil's central engineering company in Princeton, N.J. He joined Mobil Chemical Company in 1993 in Houston. He progressed through a variety of strategic planning and business management positions in the aromatics, olefins and polyethylene businesses. He served as Vice president and general manager of petrochemicals in the Americas since 1998. He served as Director of US-China Business Council, Inc. and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Following the Exxon and Mobil merger in 1999, he served as Regional Director of ExxonMobil Chemical for the Middle East and Africa. He served as Director of the American Plastics Council, Society of Plastics Industries and the American Chemistry Council. He serves as a Member of the WPI Chemical Engineering Advisory Board. Mr. Dolan graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, Mass. in 1975 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He also earned MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 1985.
