Comp is insanely low and is primarily justified by employees who see future opportunities elsewhere.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

private offices for staff in demanding positions -- more like the rest of Wall Street

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Dramatically increase resources and compensation. The current situation is total ridiculous. There is nothing like Morningstar's frugality anywhere in the financial services industry.
