Nationwide Insurance Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Annual Bonuses are based on company performance.

They offer multiple insurance options, PTO, and additional benefits that make working there very competitive.

The generous company natch on contributions to 401k

Overall salary is best part of compensation.

Total package overall, pay and PTO

The Bonus is the best part

401K matching contributon by company

The personal time off is great.

Flexible time off and competitive salary

The PTO is generous and the benefits are great.

i love to be nice

Annual performance bonus depending on overall company results

401k health benefits vacation time

Base salary and incentive prigrams.

Hands down - the simple fact that we still have a pension in our benefits package.

Salary and PTO. Used to be company car until my wife couldn’t drive

Review from Operations Dept

I think health care benefits could be better

Review from Sales Dept

401k match, maternity/paternity leave, medical/dental.

Review from Customer Support Dept

If you sell enough, the commission is the best.

Review from Sales Dept

Salary and benefits are great in columbus area

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel we do not have enough vacation time. The work hours are very inflexible and we have to use our time off for Dr appointments and caring for family. It's near impossible to plan a vacation due to this.

Better work life balance and just a little more pay

Review from Operations Dept

Family deductible is over $8k, 2022 raise considerably less than promised

Medical benefits require a deductible that essentially makes it a catastrophic loss policy. Dental benefit limits are woefully inadequate given the cost of dental procedures

compared to its competitors, the pay is lower on average

I will have an idea that gets little attention. A white male will repeat it later and the idea becomes the best spark of genius since the invention of computers.

Pay comparably with competitors most like us. We are steadily losing good people who get paid more elsewhere.

For an entry level job with no degree necessary, it is a high stress job. Looking at other companies in the field, associates with less responsibility are compensated around $10-$20k more. Also, with what we are paid, the insurance is quite lacking, even after hitting the deductible for the year.

Review from Customer Support Dept

was promised health care before I started and never purchased - also no 401K

Review from Sales Dept

The variable compensation plan needs to be more realistic and attainable (a stretch objective is fine) but there should be recognition for strategic organizational changes in the sales leader objective. Also 401K matching should be more robust, at least a 5 or 6% match at 100%.

Review from Sales Dept

Agents don't have stock in the company

Review from Sales Dept

Industry rates are higher than what Nationwide pays

Review from IT Dept

The company does not allow you to get a realistic pay raise when you get close to the top of your pay band! Nationwide had lowered my pay band by $5000 this year.

Review from Operations Dept

We all want to earn more money

Review from Sales Dept

It’s to expensive on medical and the benefits you get make it look like it’s actual income, so you get get taxed a lot
