Nationwide Insurance Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Dedication, Determination, Teachable, Knowledgeable, Successful

The culture at Nationwide was the most amazing, it was a small town feeling in a large company.

They are open to innovative ideas and encourage us to explore new opportunities for growth.

Team is great all member are good

They do try to keep us informed of some of the upcoming changes

Very engaged, listen to associate feedback

can't go anywhere with their degree of apathy. They are just trying to survive themselves, and are only concerned about themselves.

Review from Operations Dept

Continuous Self examination and willingness to listen

Open door and great communication

I feel heard most of the time

very nice and also supportive

Focus on development of talent and core business performance

It is easy to ger im contact with the hire ups.

Open honest great competent flexible

Extremely accessible and helpful leadership

They do what they can to implement suggestions and are great listeners.

their transparency to all of the employees

Our leaders are transparent, authentic and approachable.

Open door policy, approachable and open to new ideas

Their approach to managing the day to day activities within the department

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Caring for employees. Listening to employee concerns.

'Leadership' needs to get down in the weeds more with the people who actually do the work. Midlevel and above leadership are essentially cor[porate bean counters

Skip the self serving survey that front line managers coerce employees to inflate the scores

MORE diversity and break the "privileged" concept as birthright to leadership. A Black man with 3 master's works for a white female with a high school education.

It is a Risk averse culture, very heavy handed and takes forever to make decisions. Don't have a clue on talent development and how to nurture and grow talent.

This was one of my worst job experiences. Could have been my department, but I was unhappy as a whole. I am used to working at smaller companies, so that may be part of the problem

Quit changing things for the sake of change. You fall in love with an idea and have no clue how to make it work.

Review from IT Dept

Listening to employees real concerns.

Review from Customer Support Dept

They are pretty good .

Review from Operations Dept

Work/balance. I work to much in property claims. They don’t care about their associates. I have been working overtime for the past 7 months.

Review from Sales Dept

I believe better coaching and professionalism. There have been many times that I have overheard unprofessional office talk about employees. There have been times when employees were purposely embarrassed for their performance, when it could have been discussed in private.

Review from Customer Support Dept

There should be more alignment between Sr. Leadership and their respective business units from an objective and communication perspective.

Review from Sales Dept

Understandable by the markets they get into. They got to bro Mutal funds and have not been able to capitalize on the market like they did with annuities.

Review from Sales Dept

Empowering associates and moving faster.

Review from IT Dept

Listening to the workers who actually are the face of the company

Review from Operations Dept

I believe if you are going to lead a great team you should know what is involved at every level below you!
