The culture at Nationwide was the most amazing, it was a small town feeling in a large company.

They are open to innovative ideas and encourage us to explore new opportunities for growth.

Team is great all member are good

'Leadership' needs to get down in the weeds more with the people who actually do the work. Midlevel and above leadership are essentially cor[porate bean counters

Skip the self serving survey that front line managers coerce employees to inflate the scores

MORE diversity and break the "privileged" concept as birthright to leadership. A Black man with 3 master's works for a white female with a high school education.

It is a Risk averse culture, very heavy handed and takes forever to make decisions. Don't have a clue on talent development and how to nurture and grow talent.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel we do not have enough vacation time. The work hours are very inflexible and we have to use our time off for Dr appointments and caring for family. It's near impossible to plan a vacation due to this.

Family deductible is over $8k, 2022 raise considerably less than promised

Medical benefits require a deductible that essentially makes it a catastrophic loss policy. Dental benefit limits are woefully inadequate given the cost of dental procedures

The sales people were ok, but there were too many people who were Nationwide “lifers” who have only had exposure to that company. There is not much acceptance of anything but the Nationwide way. Even if it is not working.

Not making us go back into office, providing us with working systems so we can efficiently do our work.

Treat all associates equally. Reward performance and ability the same regardless of skin color, etc. Handle promotions the same.

Recognize that there are different ways to produce a good result. Get rid of toxic supervisors.

Going great for personal lines. Trying to move into mid-level commercial lines with a small account mindset and lack of underwriting skills for that level.

Think things through before setting in motion; give us time to create a solid base and make the appropriate changes to make these things work
