I like working at Nav.
I like working a nav, it can be frustrating at times. The company often seems to bite off more than it can chew in terms of new ideas and projects. Many of the support staff seem overwhelmed since so much emphasis is put on new features and product improvements.

How's the vacation policy at Nav?
PTO is truly unlimited you actually are required to take at least two weeks off every year.
The policy is great! They offer unlimited time off.
Unlimited. They ask you to take at least 2 weeks off every year, but some employees take over a month (split at different times).
What is Nav's policy towards pets in the workplace?
Since we are remote the policy is yours to build for your own location.
What kind of relocation or moving stipends does Nav offer?
Since we aren't tied to an office we don't offer these types of benefits.

Where whatever you want as long as it isn't offensive.

We are a remote first company - so the office layout is wherever you choose to work.
How much diversity is there among employees at Nav?
We are 100% diverse as no two employee is the same. We have different genders, race, ages, religious backgrounds, LGBTQA, Vets, Educational backgrounds, work experiences, and life experiences.
What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at Nav?
We have medical maternity leaves for the mother having the child. We have parental leave in addition to that for everyone. That leave is meant to spend time with the family and can be used up to one year from the time the baby arrives.
Does Nav have a volunteer program?
Yes we have small business days where we go into the community to support our customers. We do Junior Achievement, and partner with them for their internship program.

I have the flexibility to integrate my home and work together.

I asked a ton of questions and I feel like I had a great understanding of how Nav worked.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Nav?
Being new sucks, especially when you are used to contributing at a high level. The best advice I could give is to sit back and just learn. Learn how we got to this place, how the company makes money, where we are going and how you can have impact.
What are company outings like at Nav?
We are a distributed first company, and this is a hard question to answer in the era of COVID. Post the pandemic I don't know how this will be.
