Michael S. Dunlap — Executive Chairman at Nelnet

Mr. Michael S. Dunlap, also known as Mike, has been the President of Farmers & Merchants Investment Inc., since January 1995. Mr. Dunlap is the Founder of Nelnet, Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer from May 24, 2007 to December 21, 2013. He is responsible for Nelnets' overall strategy and direction. He serves as Principal Executive Officer of Nelnet Student Loan Corp-2. He served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Nelnet Inc., from August 2003 to May 24, 2007 and served as its President from December 2001 to 2003 and Chief Executive Officer from December 2001 to August 2003. From January 2001 to August 2003, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank & Trust Company and as its Executive Vice President from January 1993 to January 2001. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Nelnet Student Loan Corp-2 and Union Financial Services Inc. He has been the Non-executive Chairman of Union Bank & Trust Company since August 2003. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Nelnet Inc from August 2003 to January 1, 2014. He has been the Executive Chairman at Nelnet, Inc. since January 1, 2014 and director since January 1996. He served as Chairman of Nelnet's predecessor from January 1996 to December 2001. He serves as a Director of Agile Sports Technologies, Inc. Mr. Dunlap has been a Director of Nelnet Inc., the holding Company of Nelnet Student Loan Corp- 2 since 1989, Farmers & Merchants Investment Inc., since January 1995 and Nelnet Student Loan Corp- 2 since October 1999. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Capital Casualty Company; and BankFirst of Norfolk. He's a member of the President's Community Council for Union College and the Board of Directors for the University of Nebraska Foundation. He is a Member of the Nebraska State Bar Association. Mr. Dunlap received his B.S. degree in Finance and Accounting in 1986 and his J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska in 1988.
