Timothy A. Tewes — President at Nelnet

Mr. Timothy A. Tewes, also known as Tim, has been the President of Nelnet, Inc. since January 1, 2014. Mr. Tewes serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Nelnet Business Solutions Inc., (also known as, FACTS Management Company), a subsidiary of Nelnet, Inc. from May 2007 to December 31, 2013. He served as the President at K-12 Division of Nelnet Business Solutions, Inc. and served as its President. Mr. Tewes served as President of Nelnet Business Solutions - K-12 operations and led its efforts to support private and faith based schools with tuition management, financial needs assessment, enrollment management and donor management, all with a goal to make education more affordable for the tuition paying elementary and secondary school family from June 2005 to May 2007, Executive Vice President of FACTS Management Company, a subsidiary of Nelnet, Inc. responsible for its revenue generation, product and marketing efforts from September 2000 to June 2005. Mr. Tewes's responsibilities with Nelnet Business Solutions include oversight of a 250 employee team focused on tuition management, needs assessment, campus commerce and enrollment management for K-12 institutions and institutions of higher education. Prior to FACTS Management Company, Mr. Tewes served 16 years with Wells Fargo Bank, Nebraska. He was President of the Wells Fargo's Lincoln Nebraska Banks and served as Regional President, responsible for all of Wells Fargo's greater Nebraska banks. He served as an Executive Director of Nelnet, Inc. since June 2005. He served as an Executive Director of Nelnet, Inc. since May 2007. He has been active in the Lincoln community since 1991, serving in many capacities for the United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County. Mr. Tewes earned a Master of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
