Diversity and Inclusion at NETSCOUT

Together, we continue to build an inclusive culture of “Lean But Not Mean” that encourages, supports, and celebrates our employees. It drives innovation and connects us closer to our customers and our communities. We know that having a range of perspectives helps generate better ideas to solve the complex problems as Guardians of the Connected World.

Social Impact Programs

The goal of our social impact programs is to fulfill our mission as Guardians of the Connected World by helping to bridge the digital divide.  To address these issues, we create innovative partnerships with organizations to support programs that strengthen underserved communities with access to the internet, digital skills and opportunities for entrepreneurs, as well as programs that create access to careers for underrepresented talent in the technology industry.

Tech Goes Home

Based in Boston, Tech Goes Home (TGH) provides computers, internet connectivity, and digital skills training, helping to create a more equitable society where all members of our community have access to the digital world and the opportunities it provides.

Our partnership with TGH includes a cash grant of $100K to sponsor digital skills courses for 160 individuals or families in Roxbury MA, and volunteers to create or translate tutorials for their distance learning programs.

Hackathons

Since 2018, we’ve sponsored 7 student hackathons with Shooting Stars Foundation, including in-person events in our offices in San Jose CA, Allen TX, Westford MA, Bangalore India; at UMass Lowell in Lowell MA, and virtual events that attract students from all over the US and internationally.

We make a concerted effort to include students in underserved communities, hoping to spark an interest to pursue STEM in school and as a career path.

Jun-2020 All Girls Hackathon when our in-person All Girls 12-hour hackathon planned for our San Jose office was canceled due to the pandemic, the hackathon team reinvented it as a virtual event.

May-2021 Equal Opportunity Hackathon the theme was Life in 2031 and students considered what the world might look like 10 years from now, whether in learning, travel, culture, climate change, environment, health, or technology.

Commitment to support DEI in our communities

In 2020, NETSCOUT committed to both the MassTLC Tech Compact for Social Justice and Communities Foundation of Texas Be in Good Company programs.

Our goal in joining with our industry and community peers is to do our part to create welcoming and thriving communities by continuing to drive change in important areas such as: DEI, social justice, educational and development opportunities for employees, creating employee giving opportunities and corporate financial contributions to community organizations and building the talent pipeline
