What is the best part about your compensation package?
The benefits are comprehensive and generous.
It's a good job, so combine that with good benefits and I am generally happy.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Most are considered independent contractors, so there are no benefits whatsoever. No overtime pay, no holiday pay, no weekend rates, no benefits at all. And the pay rate is below average.

Media is never boring, news is never boring.
If you are a professional, you are watched very closely for the first 90 days but once they approve of you, they let you run, whether you are a writer by trade or marketer, they allow you to find your spot.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We need leaders who are more people oriented. There are some leaders who truly seem to be miserable human beings and are always out to get you.

What did you like most about the interview process?
it moves quickly, people were efficient
It was more of a conversation than an interview.
I was allowed to reach out to whomever for questions or advice. There were no restrictions as I made up my mind. Also, they are very upfront about the 90 day probationary period. Communication is good.

I feel like I have chosen well in picking Newsmax and am happy that they also picked me.
I watch our management team and everyone who works at Newsmax try and provide the very best editorial and news content.

Bring in managers who know how to lead and interact with other people. Treat the people that work for them with more respect.
