Review from Legal Dept

The learning opportunities makes me most happy at work

Review from Legal Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

For me personally, see the question about compensation. Also, I've been working on a lot of the same types of experiments for 2 years now, so getting a little bored. For the company as a whole, we have to get our costs under control, so we can reach profitability soon!

Review from Engineering Dept

Higher pay, less gaslighting, better benefits, more development opportunities

Review from Finance Dept

While I am focused on solutions and approaching my work in efficient ways, there are a lack of resources that make storytelling difficult.

Review from Communications Dept

support and resources are not divided up fairly. Treatment of high performers is very low

Review from Sales Dept

While ICs are great, the workplace overall is toxic. This comes from the top down. Micromanagement and gaslighting abound.

Review from Sales Dept

There is a large culture problem at Nextdoor and the Head of People and our CEO contribute to that. They constantly force how they want something done instead of listening to their subject matter experts. The Head of People constantly throws his hands up on bigger issues and does nothing.

Review from Communications Dept

The culture is the inability to properly execute & be efficient. The revenue team gets zero support from leadership as it's not a priority, kindness and community are which is why we are two different companies with competing goals under one umbrella. Wallstreet favors revenue where Nextdoor doesn't

Review from Sales Dept

I'm not as motivated because I don't feel valued.

Review from Engineering Dept

i would enjoy a better definition of roles, with clear tasks and boundaries. In my team we are often overlapping

Review from Customer Support Dept

Too many meaningless meetings that eat up the day

I need a shift in roles and responsibilities. I was looking for that, and at the last stage of internal interviews the role was completely changed so I no longer had relevant skills or interest in that role. Absolutely gutted that the feedback recieved was t just 'sit and wait' for something else

Review from Customer Success Dept

Need a strong Product Management and Head of eng. I need to believe that our ENG energy is not wasted. Currently its wasted a lot.

Review from Engineering Dept

Too much babysitting of grown adults to own their job. The company is changing drastically, and ALL employees need to take responsibility and accountability over it.

Review from Finance Dept

We don't look at ourselves and assess our products and their issues honestly. In addition to that, for a company that is so focused on revenue, we rely way too heavily on product to determine our revenue generating roadmap (i.e. business solutions).

Review from Business Development Dept

We are very divided, whilst our CEO does a great job of trying to make us work more global, practically this isn't happening. Her leads need to do better. we also have a very high turnover of staff

Review from Product Dept

See earlier answers in the questionnaire

Review from Marketing Dept

Needs Better Benefits, perks, pay, work and sometimes people.

Review from Finance Dept

I have noticed a shift to a more top-down and top heavy organization -- I feel like leaders need to trust the employees they hire more and feel comfortable pushing back and disagreeing with others.

Review from Marketing Dept

Again, having good people at the company and not overworking people or making them feel inferior or like they have to prove themselves every second

Review from Marketing Dept

Lots of overlapping responsibilities during the review, planning, and execution phases at EOY
