Joanne Emerson-Taqi — Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright

Ms. Joanne Emerson-Taqi has been a Partner at Norton Rose LLP's Bahrain Office since 2006. Ms. Emerson-Taqi is also a Partner at Norton Rose (Middle East) LLP. She advises on all types of developments, including commercial, industrial and public, and all forms of contract, including the FIDIC suite of agreements, NEC, JCT and the Australian Standards. She has developed specific expertise in the water (including wastewater, desalination and district cooling), waste (including waste to energy) and housing (including social housing and worker/staff accommodation) sectors and in PPP procurement. She has experience advising government institutions, concessionaires, project companies, developers, contractors, consultants and financial institutions. Ms. Emerson-Taqi studied law at the University of Sydney, Australia. She graduated with a BA (Hons.), LLB (Hons.) and has recently been awarded Masters of International Law. She was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1999.
