I like the autonomy and flexibility that comes with the job. However, it is a struggle to get pay increases and the benefits are poor.

It's alright working here. I wish the compensation were better. I don't feel well connected with my teammates. The greatest benefit to working here is that management is flexible with me about time management over the week. The communication has been good. I want for more close relationships.

Boomerang Employee, I worked for Nolte Associates before, during, and after acquisition and switch from Employee Owned to Publicly Traded (2004-2014). Returned in January, 2022. NV5 is the benchmark for quality and performance in the Industry, a great Team to be a part of.

Do not work here, you are not valued and are just a number that can be replaced. All they care about is the stock prices and buying out other companies, horrible benefits, no 401 k match

We see the CEO 2x yearly, and he doesn't speak to rank & file except in a large group setting. We have 2 board members in the San Diego office. In the last couple years I have seen one of them once. They are totally unengaged with rank & file employees and leadership at Director & below.

Strategic growth/acquisitions that bolster the quality of the services we provide thereby protecting/increasing shareholders investments.

They're approachable and listen to everyone. They balance internal and external client service, they usually find great projects to work on, and ensure quality processes are followed.

Leadership should concern themselves with people who produce a quality product but instead they barade and ensure any of their shortcomings are taken directly out on you.

Engage with staff. Most senior board members do not mingle - they have their own entry/exit, and avoid staff interaction. There is no explanation of corporate goals. There is no 401(k) match despite several statements by leadership. I could not pick out VP of HR from an in-office lineup.

The leadership team consistently chooses bottom line over employee happiness.

Benefits paid as stock grants with 3-year vesting schedule, though it's not clear what events would cause the vesting schedule to void. This scare tactic is good at keeping folks around.

I have to fight for every compensation increase I receive. I would appreciate it if management was more active about compensating strong employees.

After 7 dedicated years and after a few advancements, I feel underpaid and over-dedicated. Starting wage was great, but merit increases barely match inflation, despite surpassing goals/making major process improvements that the company will cont. to use. I should be able to buy a house in my city.

NV5 benefits are overly expensive and strongly geared towards single employees and not employee families. Time vested stock option "retirement match" seems like an attempt to dangle money in front of staff to keep them from leaving NV5.

Compensation is good and raises are reasonable with opportunities to advance or move laterally within the company which is awesome! Benefits need a lot of work. Retirement benefits/options are not great and paid leave is low for life events such as jury duty or child birth.

The general idea that we all want each other to do well. When a teammate is having difficulty with something, it really is ok to say so. Ask for help. People will flock to help with tool problems, scheduling, resourcing, etc.

Our team is very cohesive and personable.

The interview process was a casual environment where they did a good job of testing my technical ability while also making sure I was a good fit.

The questions from people interviewing were straightforward and easy to answer. I was given space to demonstrate my technical knowledge and describing my skill set. They gave me space to ask questions about the company and answered fully for what I inquired on.

The autonomy. I like feeling in control of my work and management does a good job of letting me excel.

My staff. NV5 has continued to bolster my abilities by anticipating needs and acquiring quality personnel that are very effective, high quality experienced people.

I like the people I get to work with. I appreciate the flexibility we're given in time of working hours.

Better compensation, for wages, PTO, retirement plans, health insurance benefits. More investment of the company in our career growth and employee retention. More concern for equity and supporting diversity across the company.
