Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Yes. Hours are not given as they are promised, which leads to not being there long enough to serve tables to compensate for hourly wage. Stop hiring so many workers over good existing employees.

My coworkers and serving/ host manager all keep positive attitudes. We like to joke while working to keep spirits up, even when we sometimes feel under valued
There are several people looking to gain further knowledge and to move up in the company. Others may not, and that is perfectly fine.

Guest normally come in to relax or to celebrate and I love seeing them leave happy. Even if something happens that can negatively effect their experience, management significantly empowers their employees to do what ever it takes to ensure that our guest always leave satisfied happy.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Management needs to start caring about something other than their own wallets. Stop discriminating against older employees. Stop overworking and underpaying your kitchen staff. Don't get mad when someone calls out sick for the first time in 2 years.
