Review from Engineering Dept
Over worked and under paid. A lot of talk about work life balance but it is expected to take calls while in the evening or 2am, weekends, on vacation or while sick, even if you just got out of the hospital. Since the company is global calls come in from dev teams at 2am often with 8am calls.
They need to up their 401k matching since this is the only means for the company to help employees with retirement saving.
Review from Engineering Dept
The organisation is very silo'd. We need better alignment of objectives across the organisation, and a better understanding of each other's goals and constraints.
Management needs to look around and SEE what's going on
Remove some of the managers. They were Peter principalled into the job. Stop outsourcing new dev work and making in house teams clean up the resulting mess and do support only.
Train the interviewers on proper interviewing protocols
