Neither the Osmo hardware or software iscurrently compatible with the iPad Pro 12.9-inch.

For reference, here's a list of iPad models that Osmo is and is not compatible with.

As long as you have an iPad other than the Gen 1, Pro 12.9-inch or Pro 11-inch, the Osmo iPad Base will fit your iPad.

If you have one of the smaller iPads, it's possible that you need to switch the base inserts to accommodate it. If this is the case, please follow the simple instructions in this video. Suggestgetting a pencil with eraser ready to do this.

Assuming you have an email address, internet connection, and an iTunes or Amazon App Store account, all you need is a compatible iPad or Amazon Fire tablet to get started with Osmo.

There is one Osmo designed, and Speck produced iPad case that accommodates the:

Osmo is in the process of designing a new iPad protective case that will accommodate the iPad 7th Generation (10.2-inch) model.

No, neither Osmo's hardware (base & reflector) or software are currently compatible with the 11-inch iPad Pro.

You can edit your profile picture (avatar) inside any Osmo app.

Here are the steps (please make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the Osmo apps):

First return to the main menu by tapping the gear icon on the top left. (You may need to tap the screen once for the gear icon to appear.)

From the main menu, tap the current players avatar button in the top right corner.

From here, select the avatar that youd like to change and long-press it (tap and hold for a few seconds).

Explore different avatar portraits until you find one you like. Tap it again to continue.

Provide a new nickname (if you wish) and press the checkmark button.

This new Speck protective iPad case is designed to work with these devices only:

No, it will not. The Speck-designed Osmo iPad protective case will only work with the newly designed Osmo iPad base.

How do you know which iPad base you have? See attached images for:(A) classic iPad base (does not work with Speck case)(B) newly designed iPad base (works with Speck case)

The key differences between the two bases are:- the newly designed iPad base will work with the custom-designed Speck case (and the classic base won't)- improved stability- works in landscape mode to double as an iPad stand

If you own the classic iPad base, know that it works with ALL the Osmo games (including the newest games), so there's no reason to replace it unless you want to order the compatible iPad Speck case. The Speck case is available for purchase on our website.

What versions of iOS do you need? We recommend using the most recent iOS version to ensure the best game experience, however, the minimum version of iOS needed for Osmo is iOS 9.

All Osmo games except MindRacers are compatible with Fire tablets, despite what the product boxes indicate.

Little Genius Kit games are not yet compatible with Amazon Fire tablets, but will become compatible in November 2019.

INTERCHANGEABLE GAME PIECES:The Osmo game pieces are interchangeable between iPad and Fire tablets, however, a Fire base & reflector are required to play Osmo games on a Fire tablet.

Our apps generally only fully support English, but most of the on-screen prompts are also translated into Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese.

FULLY TRANSLATED GAMES1- Osmo Monster is fully translated into Spanish2- The Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit games are fully translated into French and Dutch

WORDS LETTER TILESThe Words game letter tiles are available in English alphabet letters only. There are no current plans to provide additional letters.

SWITCHING LANGUAGESDevice- to switch Osmo interface messages to French, you need to change the language setting on your device.

PROMPTAfter you do that, open any Osmo app, and you will be prompted to select between English and the desired language as the preferred language for that Osmo app.

ALBUMS for the WORDS Game1- Please deactivate all English albums before selecting the preferred language albums. If you don't do that, the device will default to English, even if the preferred language album is selected.2- There are many albums in languages other than English that come with the Words app right now. You don't need to switch your interface messages from English to another language in order to use them.

PIZZA CO. GAMEThis game has written words that appear on the screen, and those will be in the language of your device or the language you select. The spoken language of the characters is not a real language, it's make-believe. We call this language 'Osmolian' and plan to reveal more about this make-believe language in the near future. If you find the 'Osmolian' language distracting, please feel free to lower the volume accordingly.

1. DonorsChoose.org Amount: N/A

Discount: While not a traditional grant, DonorsChoose.org is an excellent way of raising funds for your classroom. Public school teachers essentially propose classroom projects and post their proposals on the website. In these proposals, you will include very specific items that you need, ranging from standard tool supplies to microscopes, laboratory equipment and computer software. Donors browse the site and have the opportunity to donate money to your cause.

2. AIAA Foundation Classroom Grant ProgramAmount: $200

Description: The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronauts is dedicated to the importance of STEM education and awards $200 in grants to K-12 teachers who want to incorporate new ways of teaching science, technology, education and mathematics into their classroom. 3. NEA Foundation Student Achievement GrantsAmount: $2,000 to $5,000

Description: The NEA Foundation allows practicing public school teachers to apply for the funding of programs designed to improve the academic achievement of students. The grant will fund your efforts for 12 months, and funding may be used for resource materials, supplies, equipment, transportation and technology any part of the proposed plan that has a direct impact on the students learning. Many customers with special needs children at home or in the classroom report a great deal of success and enjoyment using Osmo.

That said, this information is purely anecdotal, and may not be representative of the experience your child or grandchild will have. We suggest purchasing the Osmo Genius Kit from Amazon or on our website to give it a try, and, if it's not a great fit, return it for a full or partial refund. Please follow these steps:

log into your myOsmo account(if you do not see your name on the home page, it means that you're not logged into your account; please make sure to log in);

click on your name in the top right corner;

select "Replacements" from the dropdown menu and fill out the form.

We'll send you an email confirmation that we received your request, as well as a notification once it ships.

Note that we do *not* supply replacement reflectors, Osmo Creative Boards, Yoobi markers, Yoobi blue pouches, or Osmo bases free of charge (unless they were damaged or missing upon receipt of your order from our website).

Reflectors are sold on our website (prices start at $10 USD).

Osmo bases are sold on our site for $39 USD.

Osmo Creative Boards, Yoobi markers and Yoobi pouches are sold as parts of the Creative Set.

Yoobi markers are sold in many locations listed on the Yoobi website, including Target stores in the US; alternatively, any dry erase marker will work with the Osmo Creative Board.

U.S. customers can return their Osmo within 30 days of delivery. Please email [email protected] to obtain a pre-paid return address label and RMA (return merchandise authorization). Without this label the return may not be credited to your account.

Returns for non-U.S. orders are not currently accepted. Please reference the list of retailers by country that sell Osmo products globally.

Additional information here:

1- To set up a new Osmo, teachers will need to go to this URL (which is printed on the inside of every Osmo product box):

2- From there each one of them will receive an activation email. After they click on the activation link in the email, they'll be able to sign into their account at https://my.playosmo.com/ and see their activation code (school code).

3- Please note that any device can be connected to any number of myOsmo accounts.

4- Each teacher can then create student profiles under his or her myOsmo account if they need to save their students' game progress. In some cases, we've seen teachers create a single profile for an entire class (if saving individual game progress is not important).

5- To add student profiles, please log into your myOsmo account at my.playosmo.com and click on 'myProfiles' on top of the page. You will be able to easily add multiple profiles and even upload a spreadsheet.

6- To upload a spreadsheet, first export it in CSV format. Here are the instructions for Microsoft Excel (other spreadsheet programs have similar options):

Or simply create a text file with student names and grade levels that looks, e.g., like this:

(PLEASE NOTE: profile names can only contain English alphabet letters and numbers; no spaces or special characters are allowed.)

You can also create profiles inside Osmo apps. To add player profiles inside an Osmo app, open any Osmo app on your iPad and tap on the myOsmo icon in the top right hand corner.

Once you have created one profile, you can tap on that profile's icon in the top right corner to get back to the profile creation screen and add more profiles.

After you create the profiles on one iPad, they will show up on any other iPads you may be using with Osmo. If they don't, please restart the Osmo apps, and the profiles should show up.

Students can connect to myOsmo by manually entering the activation code for their teacher's myOsmo account.

To do that, they can open any Osmo app and tap the myOsmo button (or a profile avatar button) in the top right corner of the home screen. Then they can tap 'Log in' and tap 'School Login' in the pop-up window.

Here are the steps needed to add any of the Osmo apps to your childs existing profile on Amazon Fire tablets. This assumes that your child has a separate Fire tablet profile from yours.

1. Make sure you are logged into your (adult) account on the tablet:- Swipe down from the top of the tablet- Tap on the profile icon in the top right- Select your profile.2. Make sure you download all the Osmo apps you need from the store.3. Go to settings.4. Tap on Profiles and Family Library under Personal.5. Tap on your childs profile name.6. Tap on Add Content and choose Share Content.7. Select GAMES & APPS in the top right corner.8. Select the Osmo apps that youd like to add to your childs profile.9. Tap done.10. Now switch to your childs profile. (See step 1 for details.)11. In the Added for you section, tap on See All on the right.12. The displayed list should have all the Osmo apps you added to your childs profile.13. Tap on any app to install.14. Tap on an app again, once installed, to play.

If the reflector has a white Osmo logo on the front and 5 small white dots on the back, it is the reflector thats designed specifically for Amazon Fire tablets.

If the reflector has none of these markings, it's the version for iPads.

No, the Osmo base for Amazon Fire is not compatible with kid-proof cases or any other protective cases at this time. All cases will need to be removed from the tablet before playing Osmo.

The Osmo apps do not use the back button on the tablets that are compatible with Osmo.

In order to play the Osmo games on the 7th Generation Fire 7 and 8, the legs in the base must be extended.

HOW TO EXTEND:In order to extend the base legs, you need to pull the leg out while keeping the button pressed.

HOW TO RETRACT/SHORTEN:To shorten the base, hold the button while pushing the legs back up. Note that if the legs appear stuck in one position, you may need to wiggle them a bit from side to side.

To play Osmo, first set your device in the white Osmo base, then put the red reflector on top of the device and download the games. From there you just open up any game and start playing!
