How does OTG make decisions around promotions?
They engaged a human resources specialist to create a process. It is pretty good, very objective and clear.
How's the vacation policy at OTG?
Really flexible. I know one guy who started for two weeks and went on holiday's with full pay. With the right amount of notice we can take up to six weeks off in a row.
What benefits does OTG provide?
Top Employee Response
So much investment in certification, training, courses, conferences and resources to develop and test on. Very relaxed management. Clear KPI's, very quantifiable, so clear why you did and or did not receive the appropriate bonuses. Encourage testing and development. An extensive lunch is provided on Friday's. Well compensated for work out of hours.
What's the company culture like at OTG?
Top Employee Response
Really good. Heavy focus on training and we are always working on the bleeding edge internally so we can familiarise ourselves with new products and services before clients. Not encouraged obviously, but very tolerant of mistakes, as long as you learn from it. They do focus on certification, but it is quite funny as they encourage you to take the exam quickly, fail, focus on what you need to improve on and then take the exam again. A bit strange, but it means you tend to be more comfortable with taking exams, less embarrassed if you fail and the result is, I have not worked with so many qualified certified people. Everyone is very friendly, very much a, 'you help me, I help you' environment. They are quick to give responsibility and the lines between different levels of Support are very blurred, if you are comfortable doing something, they let you run with it, as long as you have someone to watch over your of course. Really enjoy working here.
