Dimming
You can dim the brightness of the Base Station for night use. Simply place your finger on its surface for a few seconds. Use the same action to increase brightness.
View ArticlePossible Causes
Home WiFi maynot be working
Your router may have a configuration that is not compatible with the Owlet.
To find out more about router compatibility, go here
You may have the password incorrect
The Base Station may beout of range of your WiFi router
The status shown in the app may be incorrect
Possible Solutions
First, check the bottom of your Base Station and see if the small green indicator light that says "WiFi" is lit brightly. Make sure that it is not just the light shining through from the other side. You can be sure by pressing the base station once to dim the ring light and see if the WiFi indicator light is still lit brightly. If the WiFi light is not lit:
Double check your internet password
Move the Base Station closer to your internet router for setup, then move the Base Station back to nursery (more bandwidth can be required for setup)
Restart your phone and re-attempt to connect to WiFi
Reset your home internet router
If the WiFi light was lit on the bottom of the Base Station when you checked, but the app still says that it was unsuccessful in connecting, the app may be incorrect. You can skip forward in the setup to the registration step. To do this, look at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen in the Owlet app and press the button to skip forward. It will ask you if you really want to skip and you should press "Really skip"
If you are still unable to connect the Base Station to your home WiFi network, you may be able to connect the Base Station through a computer.

View ArticleCurrently, the battery will last approximately 18 hours of continuous use.
The battery life is based on good usage - keeping the distance between the Smart Sock and Base Station within an optimal range, minimizing conditions that would cause false notifications, even the time of day or conditions under which you use the sock.
General considerations
How long before use do you unplug the sock from the base station?
The Smart Sock Electronics automatically turns on when the unit is unplugged from the Base Station. If you unplug the sock before you start to use it, it will continually try to get a read, draining the battery life. It is recommended to leave the sock plugged in and charging whenever you aren't using it.
Are you getting Notifications?
Notificationscan indicate that something is going wrong, or that the sock is trying harder to get a read and is on the edge of good readings. Wearing an appropriately sized sock and using the monitor within its prescribed limits will help keep down false notificationsand also extend the battery life.
Major influenceson battery life
Distance to Base Station:
How far from base station is the sock during use? If your Smart Sock is too far from the Base Station, the Bluetooth communication will continue to be just out of range, causing it to continually search and shorten the daily battery life.
The Base Station to Smart Sock range varies, like all radio emitting products it depends on location, home style, building materials, as well as many other factors. If the battery life doesn't last long, try moving the Base Stationcloser to where the baby sleeps. A lot of parents are able to use the Base Station from their nightstand, while others keep the Base Station right in the baby's room (never place the Base Station within reach of the crib).
Even if the base station is fairly close to the sock, ifyou carry your baby out of the room without turning off the base station, this will require more power and deplete the battery more quickly.
Conditions for Monitoring:
When do you use the sock? The best battery life is achieved when baby is sleeping in a dark room. This means you should consider ambient light conditions if you use the sock during the day for nap time. The brighter the light, the harder the unit will have to work.
Movement also plays a role in good monitoring. Ideally, your baby should be sleeping to get good reads. When awake and moving, the monitor will work harder and not only pause readings, but will also drain the battery.

View ArticleIf your Smart Sock disconnects from the Base Station (Blue Notification), it may be possible to self-correct the issue.Try the things below to regain a connection:
1. Are you within range of the Base Station?
Depending on your home's setup, building materials, and construction, the effective range between the Owlet Smart Sock and the Base Station will vary, but we recommend a distance of about 10 feet between the Smart Sock and the Base Station, without obstacles like walls, furniture, or people, to ensure a good and consistent connection. If you want to see what the effective range will be in your home, try using the Base Station in a few different locations, moving it closer if you get blue notifications after at least a few minutes of use. A lot of parents keep the Base Station on their night stand, while others keep the Base Station right in the baby's room (never place the Base Station within reach of the crib).
Verify you are in range by looking at the bottom of the Base Station for the Sock Indicator Light. To test this, keep the Base Station where you would like to primarily use it, and move the sock on your baby's foot to the locations he or she would potentially sleep.
dim the Base Station main light
**You may have to dim the Base Station main light to view the WiFi indicator light.
If the indicator light is lit up, then the Smart Sock is actually connected. (If the app reported the sock disconnected, but it is connected, go ahead andexit the app, force the app to close, and then re-enter the app - this would be due to a refreshing error with the app pinging the cloud-based servers.)
2.Check the battery level on the Smart Sock - if the sock dies, it can alert as disconnected. Openthe Owlet App and check the Smart Sock battery gauge under Settings, in the lower left corner.
(sock plugged in) (sock in use - not charging)
If needed, re-charge the Smart Sock.
**You may continue to have Blue Notificationsand will not be able to get reads if your Smart Sock battery is dead or dying.
3. If the Smart Sock is charged, and within range, plug the Smart Sock into the Base Station and do the following to re-pair the sock:
Confirm the Base Stationis plugged into the wall and the Smart Sock is plugged into the Base Station
PAIR THE SOCK
Turn the Base Station over and you will see two buttons - one small rectangular button, and one large round button - press the small rectangular button three times, within 3 seconds.
The unit should chirp/beep.
Pressthe largeround button twice within 2 seconds.
The unit should chirp/beep again.
Wait and leave the sock plugged into the Base Station while it pairs
Confirm the OSS successfully paired by unplugging the sock electronics andlooking at the bottom of the Base Station for the Sock Indicator Light.
**You may have to to view the WiFi indicator light.
If the indicator light is lit up, the Smart Sock is actually connected.
View ArticleIf you don't have WiFi in your home, or if your WiFi connection goes down, the Owlet Baby Monitor is designed to still function.
The Base Station communicates with the Smart Sock via Bluetooth, so in the event of any notification, the Base Station will notify you with colored lights and audible sounds. It will also let you know that baby's readings are normal with just a glance - showing pulsing green when readings are normal - so that you don't have to obsess over the data.
There are some perks to connecting your Owlet to WiFi:
First and foremost, using the mobile app is a great extra feature of the Owlet Baby Monitor. It can be helpful to know exactly what the readings are, and it will also notify you on your phone if a notification comes through on the Base Station. This can be helpful because your phone is connected to the cloud even at the grocery store or at work and the notifications will be sent to you there.
The second reason you would want to connect the Owlet to WiFi is to receive automatic updates from the cloud-based server. We're constantly improving the Owlet, so you will receive firmware updates wirelessly that will improve the way the Owlet operates and functions.
To Recap:
Without WiFi -Your Owlet will work great! Notifications will come through the Base Station via lights and sounds.
With WiFi -Being connected to WiFi enables you to use the Owlet Baby Care app on your smartphone, and receive Over The Air Updates.

View ArticleWhat do heart rate and oxygen levels mean?
At first, it might feel a little overwhelming to see your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels but this data is meant to empower you, not confuse you. We hope this info will shed a little light on what heart rate and oxygen levels mean for you and your baby.
What is a heart rate?
Your heart rate is a measurement of how many times your heart beats per minute. Each beat helps your body circulate blood to all your muscles and organs, as well as carry life sustaining oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body. Heart rates vary widely just across the adult spectrum based on body size, general health, medical conditions, and activity levels. Infant's heart rates vary as well, but are inherently higherthan an adult's heart rate.
What are oxygen levels?
Oxygen levels represent the percentage of oxygen in your blood and are similar between both adults and infants. Ranges of 90-100\% blood oxygen is perfectly normal, while levels below 90\% can be irregular. It is normal for oxygen levels to fluctuate throughout the day, as well as with activity. If you notice anything unusual in your baby's breathing or skin pigmentation, or if you have other questions about your baby's health, consult your pediatrician for further advice.
Infant Vitals Are Different than Adult Vital Signs
Your baby’s steady heart rate will range from around 120-180 beats per minute when in the womb, to around only 60 beats per minute by the time they are an adult. When your baby is sleeping deeply his or her heart rate will naturally be quite a bit lower than when he/she is sleeping lightly or is fully awake.Often resting heart rate for a one-year-old will be in the low 80’s
As an adult, if you were to hold your breath while being monitored, your oxygen levels may or may not decrease but an infant's oxygen levels are naturally more dynamic. It is normal for an infant's oxygen levels to temporarily dip during everyday activities such as eating or evenfilling their diaper.
Heart rate and oxygen levels are measured through the use of special tools, like pulse oximeters.
What is pulse oximetry?
Pulseoximetry (SpO2 monitoring) is found in that little red light the doctor clips onto your finger at the doctors office or hospital. It is a non-invasive technology used to both check and actively monitor a person'sheart rate and oxygen levels (how much oxygen is in the blood stream). It simply shines alight through your skin, and then measures how much light was absorbed by your red blood cells, which differs based on how much oxygen is bound to those cells. SpO2 is often referred to as “The Fifth Vital Sign”(the first 4 being your pulse, temperature, blood pressure and respiratory rate).
**The pulse oximeter is just a tool;remember, your eyes and ears are your first line of defense.

View ArticleWhen receiving a red notification, the very first thing you should do is check on your baby. If it was not an emergency, it was probably caused by one of the following...
Poor Sock Fit
Sock fit/placement issues are the most common cause of false notifications.
Even in the hospital, the #1 cause of incorrect readings is poor sensor placement.
Review the following article for help on finding the best fit and placement:
Sock Sizing Guide
Sock Too Loose
The most common issue is that the sock is close enough to get a reading, but still too loose, causing faint readings.
When to call yourpediatrician
Check to make sure the sensor windows are flat against your baby's skin.
Review the following articles for help on sock fit:
How To Put The Sock On
Examples of Poor Sock Fit
Baby Feeding
When baby is feeding, oxygen naturally decreases and heart rate naturally rises. This can often cause red notifications. If this happens, know that thisis normal for most babies.
To reduce notifications during this time, turn off the Base Station and resume when baby is in their sleep space.
Sickness
Check for signs of sickness. Red notifications can be more frequent when baby is sick or congested.
Try using a nasal aspirator to clean out baby's nose.
If sickness persists it may be a good idea to call yourpediatrician.
(American Academy of Pediatrics)
Periodic Breathing
It is common for newborns to occasionally hold their breath for up to 10 seconds. This is called periodic breathing.
Movement
Any movement picked up by the Smart Sock is assumed to be your baby's movement.
Sometimes, a swing, vibrating mat, or even patting your baby's back can be mistaken for their heart rate and set off the notification. This is also not common.
Elevation
Elevation can affect oxygen level. In higher elevation areas (like areas in Colorado), baby's oxygen levels can sit lower than average.
Elevation doesn't necessarily cause red notifications but can make them more frequent.
Foot Too Cold
This is not common but cold feet can cause red notifications. This is because there is less blood flow in thefoot for the pulse oximeter to pick up.
Other
There are other possibilities that could lead to a red notification.
Make sure to always observe safe sleeping practices.

Although it is not absolutely necessary to keep the Base Station plugged in when not in use, it does assist in data logging on the back end, where the Base Station is actively connected to the internet.
In addition, keeping the Base Station plugged in, and keeping the Smart Sock plugged into the Base Station when not in use, will ensure a complete charge when you're ready to use the Smart Sock, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise - like losing WiFi connectivity, can be addressed before you're needing to use the monitor for the night.
View ArticleThe Smart Sock has about a 18 hour effective battery life. Depending on use, distance to Base Station, andother factors, this battery life can change.
Whenever the Smart Sock is not in use, simply plug it back into the Base Station until you use it again.
This will ensure you don't misplace the Smart Sock, and that it will be fully charged and ready to go every time you use it.
If the Smart Sock is not on your baby, the Base Station will be likely to give you a yellow notification since the sock is not able to get a reading.
View ArticleWhat does a blue notificationmean?
The Base Station Is Giving A Blue Notification (Flashing Light/Song)
Blue notificationsindicate aBluetooth disconnection between the Smart Sock and the Base Station.
This can be because:
The baby is no longer in range of the Base Station
A person (holding the baby) or other object is blocking the Bluetooth signal
The Base Station is set too far from the baby's crib
Smart Sock's electronic battery is critically low or has been fully drained
If you are receiving blue notifications and want to find out why, please see the following articles
Flashing Blue Base Station
** When the Base Station is "tapped" to disable monitoring,ALLnotifications are disabled (including Red).
View ArticleMovement Detection (Wiggling Feet Icon)
Owlet uses motion sensing when your baby is active, then resumes readings when he/she is still again.
The wiggling feet icon appears when the Smart Sock detects movement. Readings and notifications will be momentarily paused until baby is holding still again.
The most recent accurate reading before movement was detected will be visible in the background.
Read a more technical explanation here.
The Owlet Smart Sock reads any movement as your baby's movement. For this reason, avoid bed-sharing or using swings while using the device.
Typically, pulse oximeters don’t read through movement very well. Movement affects all pulse oximeters’ ability to accurately measure, creating many false alarms.
Owlet combined pulse oximeter technology with an accelerometer. This means that instead of just notifying, Owlet can tell when the readings can’t be trusted, and instead show you that your baby is simply wiggling adorably. More sleep for all.
Remember, this product is intended for night-time use. If your baby is awake and moving, you are less likely to get a good read. Bed-sharing has also been shown to cause serious harm.
View ArticleAdjust electronics within the sock
Possible Causes
The sock is not getting a good read
Wrong sized sock
Incorrect placement of the sock on foot
Sock Sensor positioned incorrectly on foot (Bottom of the right foot, top of the left)
Foot not fully inserted into sock
Sock not fitting snuggly enough
Incorrect placement of the electronics within the sock
Ambient light too bright
If you are using the monitor with twins, the sensor may have inadvertently connected with both base stations.
Possible Solutions
Review sock sizing and choose a sock that fits snuggly (no excessive wrinkling or bagginess)
Adjust Sock Placement
Make sure baby’s toes go all the way to the edge of the sock (feel the toes right on the end, esp. the pinkie toe)
Make sure sock is snug - adjust the back strap and bottom strap to obtain a snug fit.
Make sure sensors are centered in the windows of the sock
Make sure the round head of the electronics are fully inserted into the sock and held in place
The sock is intended for night-time use, during naps or other times with greater ambient light, keep the sock under a blanket or remove the baby/sock from direct sunlight.

View ArticleThis article outlines the specific capabilities your home router will need to have to be able to support the Owlet Monitor on your home network. If you have already connected your Owletto your home WiFi network and successfully registered it then congratulations! You do not need to worry about this! However, if you have run into difficulty setting up your monitor, particularly the registration step then this article might help you out.
The Owlet Monitor was designed to be compatible with any router using 2.4 GHz networks. Most routers have this capability but if you are running into trouble at the registration step of set up (the part where you push a button on the bottom of the base station and then select "Register" in the app) then you may need to tweak some of your wireless settings. Your phone and Owletboth need to be using the 2.4 GHz wireless network in order for this step to complete and it is possible your phone is on the 5.0 GHz network instead.
Why is this important? Well, for two devices to communicate on a wireless network they both need to be on the same channel just like a two-way radio. Wireless networks are actually just a conglomeration of modified two-way radios that transmit data instead of sound. For two devices to talk directly to each other (which is what's happening during that registration step) they have to be on the exact same channel. If not they will not receive each other's signal and just get static.
So if you're having trouble with this step what you have two options:
Call Technical Support at 844-334-3717
Try the DIY route (read on!)
If you want to try this on your own here is what you need: an internet browser, the IP address of your router and the user name and password to access the router settings that should have been created during setup.
If this is already sounding too complicated or if you would rather not delve into this any further then we don't blame you. Just call technical support for your router (either the manufacturer oryour internet provider if you got the router from them). They often can check the settings of the router for you and make any modifications in a matter of minutes.
But if you are unphased, here are the general instructions to do it yourself:
If you know the IP address of your router open up a web browser and type that address into the URL bar.
Enter your user name and password when prompted.
Once you reach the main menu open up the wireless settings for the router.
Scan the page until you find something with a title like "Wireless Standard" or "Wireless Mode." Often there is a drop down menu next to it that contains options like: 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11b/g, 802.11n. Set your router to one of the following standards: 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11b/g.
If there is a "Save Settings" or "Apply" button of some kind select it and allow your router some time to reset.
Restart set-up on your Owlet. If the WiFi indicator light is already lit then proceed directly to the registration step. Once you have completed it (and the rest of set-up) you can open your router settings again and set the router back to the original wireless settings.
Congratulations! You have successfully registered the monitor to your email address!
*Aword about the 802.11 options mentioned above and how this all comes into play. Each of those options is essentially a specificwayfor your router to broadcast data via a radio frequency. Each setting encodes data in aslightly different way and acts like a separate channel for communicating. If you want a device to communicate with the router it has to be set for the same channel (just like a radio). In order to complete the registration step when you need to ensure that your router, phone and Owlet are all encoding data the same way and setting your router to one of the three above options will ensure that happens.

You can log into the app on multiple devices, however, your Base Station is registered to the first account that set it up, so make sure you are all logging into the app using the same email and password to get in.Only attempt this AFTER first fully setting up and registering the device. We also don't recommend having too many people logged into the same account as this can cause things to slow down. Once you get above 2 people getting the same data from the same device, things can start to be a bit more sluggish.
View ArticleWe want to fade into the background to give you peace of mind with minimal disturbances. So here are some tips and tricks to help you reduce blue, yellow and red alerts.
BLUENOTIFICATIONS
Using the Newborn Sock
These notifications indicate a disconnect event from the Smart Sock to the Base Station. We created a small, low-power, low-frequency, Smart Sock. In doing so, the functional range from the Base Station to the Smart Sock is rather small, but here are some simple fixes:
Re-positionyour body
It's going to happen, you will snuggle up to your baby and with the Base Station only a few feet away you willreceiveoneblue notification after another. Here’s why: your body is the perfect barrier between the Smart Sock and the Base Station connection. If you want to hold baby or feed in the middle of the night, just be sure to tap the Base Station once to turn it off. Just remember to turn it back on when you put baby to bed again!
In addition, don't rock baby or co-sleep (share the same bed)while using Owlet.
Turn off monitoring when you leave the room with baby
It feels like you left the house without your underwear on, (you laugh but mommy-brain is a dangerous thing!), the moment you close the door you realize you forgot to turn off monitoring. It’s ok, soon it will be second nature to "tap off" the Base Stationbefore you leave.
When taking the baby out of the room, tap the base station to turn off notifications first (lights will turn off). When the baby is back in the room, tap the Base Station to turn notifications back on (lights will turn back on).
Move Base Station closer to baby
Move the Base Station closer to where the baby is sleeping. The Base Station's range varies, like all radio emitting products, depending on location, home style, and building materials. If the Base Station gives blue alertscontinually, try moving it closer to where the baby sleeps. Someparents are able to use the Base Station from their night stand, while others keep the Base Station right in the baby's room.
Never place the Base Station within reach of the crib.
YELLOWNOTIFICATIONS
A yellow notificationindicates the Smart Sock is not getting a good reading. This can happen when the Smart Sock fallsoff, or itsplacement on your baby's foot is not ideal.
Ensure a good Smart Sock fit
Almost all yellow notificationshappen because baby is not wearing the correct sock size, or the sock is misplaced. This confuses the electronics and they are not able to get a good reading.Be sure to have the sock nice and snug on your baby’s foot.
Monitor only when baby is sleeping
This is the second biggest thing you can do to reduce yellow notifications. Movement and ambient light getting into the sock will confuse the electronics and cause false notifications.
Baby kicks Smart Sock off
As your baby gets older, kicking the sock offcould be more of an issue. The Smart Sock was designed specifically to reduce "kick-off" events, but sometimes babies can be really determined!
To keep the sock on your little one’s foot, you can put them in footed pajamas or put an every-day sock over theOwlet Smart Sock. Neither of these solutions will interfere with the Smart Socks ability to get a reading and send it to the Base Station.
Reposition Sensors
If you look inside the sock, you should see little sensors visible through two clear windows.
If the sensors are not clearly visiblein the windows (even if they are right on the border), you might be increasing your chances for false alerts.
REDNOTIFICATIONS
Red Notificationsindicate a low oxygen level, or an abnormally low or high heart rate.
Ensure a good Smart Sock fit
Often red notifications happen due to an incorrect sock fit. Be sure to have the sock nice and snug on your baby’s foot with the sensors clearly behind your baby's toes.
If using the Newborn Sock, please see:
Baby might besick
Please note that sick babies tend to have more false red notificationsthan healthy babies. While sick, your infantmay have lower oxygen levels that drop below our preset threshold and trigger an alert.
**Owlet is not to be used as a medical or diagnostic tool. If you suspect your child is sick, it's your responsibility to see they get the medical attention they need.

View ArticlePoor Sock Fit
Most of the time, sock placement issues cause yellow notifications but they can occasionally trigger a red notification. Below are some photo examples of what to avoid.
Sock Too Loose
The sensor is too far away from the baby's skin. Make sure the sensor is right up against the skin. You shouldn't be able to see the red light.
The Socks Is Backwards
The sock is on backwards. Notice how the notch is by the big toe. Make sure the notch is just behind the pinky toe.
The Sock Has Shifted
The sock has shifted towhere the notch is above or below the pinky toe instead of behind and on the side. Make sure the notch is just behind the pinky toe (approx 1 cm).
The Sock Is Too Far Forward
The sock is positioned too close to the front of the foot. This puts the sensor too close to the toes where it's more difficult to get a good reading.
The Sock is Too Far Back
The sock is too far up the foot. The sweet spot is where the notch is just behind the pinky toe.
The Sensor Is Blocked
Make sure there is nothing between your baby's foot and the sensor (such as a sock), as this could hinder readings.
Just Right
The sock is snug and the notch is just behind the pinky toe on the side of the foot.
View ArticleNote that the Owlet WiFi should only be broadcast during the initial setup. After you've successfully connected the Owlet to your home WiFi, it will no longer broadcast the Owlet WiFi.
If you are connecting your Owlet to WiFi for the first time, you should see a wireless network being broadcast that has "Owlet" in the name. This is a temporary network that won't always be there, but will help you during setup. Follow the directions in the Mobile App to complete WiFi connectivity. If you don't see a network with "Owlet" in the name, read below for what may cause that to happen and how to sort it out.

Possible Causes
The app may be showing an incorrect status - the Base Station may actually be connected to the internet and the app doesn't know it yet.
Home WiFi disruption
The Base Station may beout of range of your internet router
Possible Solutions
It is possible that the Base Station is successfully connected to WiFi but the app just doesn't know it.
Before doing any other troubleshooting, you should first:
Check the bottom of your Base Station, there is a small indicator light that says "WiFi". If that light is brightly illuminated, then your Base Station is already successfully connected to WiFi. If that light is not lit, skip down to the next section of troubleshooting "Home WiFi Disruption"
If your base is successfully connected to WiFi and the App doesn't show that it is, uninstall the app and then reinstall it. This will help it to refresh all of the details and successfully connect with your device.
If the status is still showing that the Base Station is not connected to your home WiFi, contact our Tech Support line at 1-844-334-3717
Home WiFi Disruption (Steps in order)
Wait a few minutes for the WiFi to automatically reconnect, when the Base Station is connected to WiFi, the small indicator light on the bottom of the Base will be brightly illuminated. If not:
Reset your home WiFi (reset the router)
If your other WiFi devices are having trouble connecting to the internet, try calling your Internet Service Provider for help with your service outage or technical difficulties.
The Base Station May Be Out Of Range Of Your Internet Router
Especially if occurring during initial set up, it could be that your WiFi router is just a little too far away. Setup requires a bit more bandwidth than normal use, so if this is happening while you're setting up, move the Base Station closer to your router, complete the setup, and then move the Base Station to your little one's room
If occurring during regular use, try moving yourBase Station and home router closer together (WiFi range extenders and second routers will not work)
Movement Detection (Wiggling Feet Icon)
Owlet uses motion sensing when your baby is active, then resumes readings when he/she is still again.
The wiggling feet icon appears when the Smart Sock detects movement. Readings and notifications will be momentarily paused until baby is holding still again.
The most recent accurate reading before movement was detected will be visible in the background.
tap the base station to turn off notifications.
Read a more technical explanation here.
The Base Station Is Giving a Red Notification (Flashing Light/Notification Sounding)
Possible Causes
Incorrect sock size or placement
Actual low/high heart rate
Actual low oxygen levels
Possible Solutions
Ensure you have a good sock fit by reviewing our Sock Fit Guide and learn more about Preventing False Red Notifications.
The Base Station Is Giving a Yellow Notification (Flashing Light/Song)
Adjust electronics within the sock
Make sure sensors are centered in the windows of the sock
Make sure the round head of the electronics are fully inserted into the sock and held in place
The sock is intended for night-time use, during naps or other times with greater ambient light, keep the sock under a blanket or remove the baby/sock from direct sunlight.
The Base Station is Giving a Blue Notification (Flashing Light/Song)
Possible Causes
Bluetooth disconnection between the sock and Base Station
The baby (and sock) is no longer in range of the Base Station.
The Base Station is set up too far fromwhere the baby primarily sleeps.
A person or other object is blocking the Bluetooth signal.
Sock electronics battery is critically low or has died
Possible Solutions
If the baby is moved from where they primarily sleep, tap the base station to turn off notifications.
When the baby is back in range/ready for bed, tap the Base Station to turn notificationsback on (light will turn back on).
If the baby is being fed or held, tap the base station to turn off notifications. When the baby is back in range/ready for bed, tap the Base Station to turn notificationsback on (light will turn back on).
The Owlet monitor is NOT intended for use in co-sleepingscenarios.When the baby is back in range/ready for bed, tap the Base Station to turn notifications back on (light will turn back on).
Move the Base Station closer to where the baby is sleeping. The Base Station's range varies, like all radio emitting products, depending on location, home style, and building materials. If the Base Station gives a blue alert more than once, try moving it closer to where the baby sleeps. Some parents are able to use the Base Station from their night stand, while others keep the Base Station right in the baby's room (never place the Base Station within reach of the crib).
Plug the sock electronicsintothe Base Station to charge.
Lower the sensitivity of blue notifications
If not available (i.e. the baby is sleeping and you don't want to wake him/her up)
