Kanak Kapur — Managing Director and Partner at PAG

Mr. Kanak Kapur, also known as KK, serves as Managing Director and Partner of PAG and Pacific Alliance Investment Management Limited. Mr. Kapur serves as a Member of the Distressed Asset Investment Team. He focused on illiquid investment opportunities and responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing credit intensive deals across the capital structure. Mr. Kapur has over 23 years of broad investment banking, trading and distressed investment experience since 2000. Mr. Kapur has over 19 years experience in hybrid structured credit, private placements, special situations, distressed and high yield credit trading, equity derivatives, event driven, relative value and risk arbitrage strategies. Mr. Kapur served as Managing Director and Head of Asia Distribution at Deutsche Bank AG in Hong Kong and was responsible primarily for distressed debt and event driven deal distribution in Asia. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he served as a Credit Officer and Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & CO. He joined Deutsche Bank's Asian operations in 2000 and has helped source, structure, trade, position and distribute credit intensive deals across the capital structure. He has longstanding relationships with global hedge funds, private equity funds and proprietary trading desks and is experienced in restructuring and refinancing corporate liabilities across a wide range of products including bonds, loans, equities, trade claims, derivatives and repackaged assets. He has been a Director of Nordic Shipholding A/S since April 15, 2015. He serves as a Director at Asia Pragati Capfin Private Limited. Mr. Kapur has an M.B.A. in Finance & Management from New York University's Stern School of Business.
