What part of Patterson Companies's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Software and Ecommerce continue to grow but we do not have a technology-friendly executive leader so their potential will be stifled until a new CEO is hired.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Patterson Companies?
Continue to hire people who have diverse backgrounds in other industries. We do not need Dental Sales Reps commanding all executive leader posts.
What do people at Patterson Companies think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
2017 Interim CEO is terrible. He represents Patterson's past, not its future. I am very unimpressed with Mr. Wiltz and I am eager to see him leave Patterson.
How's the work life balance at Patterson Companies?
Great work life balance. I have 2 young children and taking them to appointments and school activities is completely acceptable to my manager.
What's the company culture like at Patterson Companies?
Patterson is a Sales organization; despite comprising less than half of the company's revenue, the Dental sales team drives all objectives for the enterprise. Recent hires at the Executive level (in 2016-2017) have been a promising shift, as they are not the cut-from-the-cloth Sales Reps who "worked their way up" but rather professionals from other industries with expertise in their fields. However it will take at least 10-15 years to truly "change" a culture. The Interim CEO (as of Sept 2017) is not moving us in the right direction.
