Mr. Gary J. Marino has been Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President at PayPal Holdings, Inc. and PayPal, Inc. since September 2016. Mr. Marino served as Senior Vice President of Global Credit and the Americas at PayPal Holdings, Inc. and PayPal, Inc. since July 2015 until September 2016. Mr. Marino is working to strengthen the financial flexibility of the PayPal digital wallet through a comprehensive portfolio of credit services that includes Bill Me Later and a wide range of additional products offered with PayPal's banking partners around the world. He leads teams that are focused on expanding the PayPal network around the globe, managing relationships with PayPal's financial network partners and establishing PayPal as the preferred online payment method for consumers and merchants in the U.S. and Canada. He is also responsible for PayPal's efforts in emerging markets around the world. Mr. Marino served as the lead PayPal's credit business including its flagship Bill Me Later credit service, as well as its global portfolio of credit products offered in conjunction with its banking partners. He also oversaw the team responsible for risk management and the security of the PayPal system. He has nearly 30 years experience in the banking and payments industry. He joined PayPal in 2008. He served as a Senior Vice President of Credit Products and Risk and Senior Vice President of Global Financial Services and the Americas at PayPal Holdings, Inc. Mr. Marino served as a Co-general Manager of North America business at PayPal, where he was responsible for expanding merchant adoption of PayPal among businesses in the U.S. and Canada. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Bill Me Later, Inc. (formerly, GoPin Inc. and I4 Commerce Inc.), which he founded. He served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Credit, Chief Credit Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of the consumer lending division at FirstUSA/Bank One. He also held various executive positions with Citibank's European and North American Card Divisions, including Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer. He serves as a Director of ieWild Inc. Mr. Marino serves on the board of Legal Advice Line. He serves on the boards of two privately held companies. He served as a Board Member at Citibank Maryland, First USA FSB and First Chicago Delaware. He is a Board Member of the Johns Hopkins Discovery Fund for research in rheumatology. Mr. Marino has earned widespread industry recognition. He was a Finalist for Ernst and Young's 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year and was awarded the 1999 Marketer of the Year by Faulkner and Grey in Banking. Mr. Marino is a graduate of Syracuse University and Indiana State University.
