Ms. Heidi Kleinbach-Sauter, Ph.D. has been Senior Vice President of R&D Global Foods for Pepsico, Inc. since October 19, 2009. Most recently, Ms. Kleinbach-Sauter served as Senior Vice President of Product Innovation for Altria Client Services. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of R&D at Sara Lee Food and Beverage and Foodservice in Chicago. She also led R&D, Quality and Scientific and Regulatory Affairs for the Mueller Dairy Group in Germany after starting her career with the Campina Group. She has more than 25 years of innovation and R&D experience across a broad range of categories within the CPG (consumer packaged goods) food and beverage industry in Europe, the US, Latin America, Asia and Australia. She has been Director of Chr. Hansen Holding A/S since 2017. Dr. Kleinbach-Sauter holds a degree as European Quality Manager and Auditor from the German Society of Quality Management. Further, she holds a BS, MS and a PhD in Food Science and Food Technology from the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany and is a graduate of the General Management Program from Harvard Business School, US.
