Minimum wage. No advancement. No value.
An Industry level competitive salary
Same pay and benefits would be better otherwise higher pay would be nice. We do alot. We are customer service, self stockers, key holders, animal caretakers, and cashiers all in one job title.

i get paid minimum wage to do the same things as the manager
The raises for a store manager are the same as an associates. Like .35cents. Come on. Give us a dollar. Give us paid health care or pay out our sick time & vaca time that we aren't able to use instead of it being lost.
I feel that assistant managers are not properly compensated or taken seriously as hard working and important assets of the company. Employees are also often forced to close alone which can be unsafe and inconvenient when trying to complete a series of closing tasks.

We are called "Sales Associates" but we do way more than just sales! They want us to be "pet experts", which requires actual knowledge of animal nutrition and products. There's no shipment crew - the "sales associates" stock the truck shipments. I believe that the job title should be changed.
