Our manager keeps us informed on all new and old products that come in. The manager creates games to help us stay interested in products and learning.

Nothing really. There is no one there for you when something happens. No one to have your back.

Communication and understanding that each store has different needs and customers that have different needs in each city

Upper level management (i.e. District Managers, Regional Managers) has very unrealistic expectations for store managers, creating high stress levels for both the managers and the sales associates. High daily & weekly sales and DPT goals is important, but they set the bar a little too high.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Our franchisee has a great benefit package available for all full time employees. Our franchisees also believes if we're happy we will give our best performance

Minimum wage. No advancement. No value.
An Industry level competitive salary
Same pay and benefits would be better otherwise higher pay would be nice. We do alot. We are customer service, self stockers, key holders, animal caretakers, and cashiers all in one job title.

i get paid minimum wage to do the same things as the manager
The raises for a store manager are the same as an associates. Like .35cents. Come on. Give us a dollar. Give us paid health care or pay out our sick time & vaca time that we aren't able to use instead of it being lost.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone gets along and we all share the same goals. To keep our customers happy and coming back.

We're all friends! We're friendly towards each other and have each other's back. Sometimes there is a bit if frustrations but We're there for each other
Friendly, hardworking, work well in a team.
We all have something in common with each other, get along well and have each other's back if something is not right.
We have a very great team. Each person is very different so we all bring something unique to the table, which in turn allows each other to learn something in the process.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Some legacy staff need can be complacent and unwelcoming to newer members
They need higher pay so they want more hours. And will work just as hard as a manager instead of a low paid sales associate standing around

Employees truly care about customer experience and always strive to make it great
Very Inclusive and accepting of all people regardless of age, sex or orientation

The level of openess and information provided
It was straight forward, but it wasn't super rigid. The manager was relaxed, which helped me to relax. The questions led me to dig deeper into my own professional experience, but they weren't loaded, or trick questions.

The interactions with customers and their animals. The best parts of my day is when our regulars come in. They are happy we're here, and the dogs are always so stoked to get a treat. It brightens my day every day.
