Mr. Michael J. Alkire, also known as Mike, has been the Chief Operating officer of Premier, Inc. since May 2013 and served as its President of Premier Purchasing Partners until June 29, 2011. In his Premier role, Mr. Alkire is responsible for growing Premier's business base, driving supply chain savings for members and integrating all Purchasing Partners' operational entities. He has responsibility for an organization that offers comprehensive supply chain services to an alliance of 1,500 not-for-profit hospitals. He served in leadership roles at Cap Gemini, including North American responsibilities for supply chain and high tech manufacturing. He has more than 18 years experience in running business operations and business development organizations in his leadership roles at Deloitte & Touche and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He has been Director of Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC since February 14, 2006. Mr. Alkire graduated magna cum laude with a BS degree from Indiana State University and an MBA from Indiana University.
