Ms. Deanna D. Strable-Soethout, also known as Strable, has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Principal Financial Group, Inc. since February 14, 2017 and September 2016 respectively. Ms. Strable-Soethout served as the President of US Insurance Solutions at Principal Financial Group Inc., from March 2015 to February 14, 2017. She served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Benefits at Principal Financial Group Inc. since March 1, 2005. She served as Senior Vice President of Individual Life - Life & Health Segment of Principal Financial Group, Inc. since July 24, 2006. She served as Chairman of LIMRA Inc. until November 21, 2016 and its Director until October 30, 2017. She served as a Director of Catamaran Health Solutions, LLC from 2002 to April 7, 2006. Ms. Strable-Soethout joined Principal Financial Group Inc., in 1990 as an actuarial assistant. She was promoted to senior actuarial associate in 1994, was named an officer in 1995 and was promoted to vice president - Disability in 2002. A native of Prole, Iowa, she received her bachelor degree from Northwestern University. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
