Timothy Mark Dunbar — Executive VP & Chief Investment Officer at Principal Financial Group

Mr. Timothy Mark Dunbar, also known as Tim, serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Vice President of Principal Global Investors, LLC. Mr. Dunbar has been the Chief Investment Officer of Principal Financial Group, Inc. since 2012, Executive Vice President since January 1, 2014 and served as its Senior Vice President from January 2013 to January 1, 2014. He oversaw Capital Markets and the strategic allocation of the General Account at the firm. Mr. Dunbar joined Principal Global Investors in 1986 as an Asset Manager Representative and also served as the Head of Capital Markets, Corporate Strategy and Corporate Treasury since 2011. He has served in a number of roles in commercial real estate and equity management, including as a member of the global management team for Principal International in Monterrey, Mexico. Mr. Dunbar also served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Finance of Principal Financial Group. He served as a Director of Edge Asset Management, Inc. He serves as an Executive Director of Principal Global Investors, LLC. He is a Fellow of the Life Office Management Institute and a Member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Mr. Dunbar holds a Bachelor's Degree from the Iowa State University.
