Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership is genuinely excited about what the operations department is doing and our advancement in technology.
Direct manager is great but there is almost a 1:1 ratio of managers to workers.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Upper management is completely tone-deaf to the effects of their edicts upon those underneath them.
Treating employees fairly like they want us to treat ProAssurance insured's. They need to practice what they preach
What is the best part about your compensation package?
We receive a yearly bonus based on our progress in the company and it makes each department want to perform more efficiently.
Good for now likely not in six months.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Actually pay us for the fact you don't have to open 100 offices across the country instead of refusing to pay anything for a required home office.
When you find out new employees are making more than your long term employees it will put a bad taste in your reliable employees.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team works great together and we are all working towards the same goal.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Meetings held are seldom informative or necessary. Some held just to justify some VP's position.
Less siloed and more collaborative environment.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
ProAssurance is very family friendly and flexible when it comes to needing to be away, taking PTO, etc.
Nothing at the moment. Way too much work and laying people off.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Replace all of upper management and reduce silos.
Managers need to learn how to treat employees fairly.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview process is multi-tiered, beginning with a recruiter, then moving on to a manager. They were very communicative about when I would hear back from them.

What makes you most happy at work?
The lack of pressure and stress makes me so happy to work at ProAssurance. Deadlines are reasonable and we are given the time and the tools we need to complete projects.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
with current upper management, they're incapable of improvement.
Restructure the company and provide employees with power. Eliminate extreme micromanaging.
