very flexible. WFH is allowed, flex hours are allowed as long as it doesn't create a problem or perception problem.

Friendly and open so far, but there are several middle managers between leadership and the worker bees.

Unlimited, just work it out with your manager. WFH is a different story though.

Demonstrate humility, willingness to learn, and assertiveness. That goes further than $X skill or tools. If you're a pain in the ass or show the slightest hint of an ego, you won't make it.
What IT department questions did Proofpoint ask during your job interview?
fizzbuzz. Design a regex to capture fields in an httpd log. Basic linux administration (Why won't httpd start? Troubleshoot a scenario involving immutable files, a crontab not running, etc) Debug this shell, python, perl script. Describe puppet modules you've written.
How's the morale at Proofpoint?
I think the morale is good - when the stock is surging, things are great! Now I'd say sales people are not treated well (quotas, territories, deal structuring/commissions, etc), expenses are a nightmare, but technical roles are treated like royalty.
