How much diversity is there among employees at Proterra?
The company is trying to embrace diversity. But, overall it's still mainly white men.
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Proterra?
It wasn't great. The staff spent more time talking about themselves and their projects, and very little time learning about what I could bring to the table. I was actually surprised when I was hired.
What's the pay like for Engineering roles at Proterra?
The pay is not optimal, considering other vehicle and EV-related companies are aggressively recruiting now and offering superior compensation packages.

On a scale of 1-10, it would be a 4. They seem more concerned with growing their own wealth rather than how to cultivate and grow teams.
What are you most excited about working at Proterra?
We do make a great product.

For a small company, it's drawn out.

The company is only interested in what you offer in the short-term. Don't even think about approaching topics around career growth. Advancement is non-existent. If you want to grow your career, quit and join another company.
