It's been a few years now, so it's difficult say for sure, but almost ALL of the 26 years I worked there, there was that steady decline of any connection the store workers had with the CEO, or anyone working in the corporate offices. Again, that was in direct relation to the founders passing away. The only mistake they made was, probably spoiling these guys. They never did the work. Other than the educational aspect. They littorally don't even know how to talk to real people(their employees, OR customers)! That will tell you what they need improvement on. Real communication! As a manager of 20 years, I can tell you, they treated my input, or statements of fact, with hostility, instead of consideration. If you only take in the information you want to hear, that is the garbage in, garbage out system. It will eventually cost the company. The best thing the company does is invest it's net profits. Usually make very sound real estate deals that give them an advantage over competition.
