If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Puffer Sweiven?
Vest empoyees faster, but that has the risk of alienating long-termers who have "paid their dues."
I'd vest people sooner. Five years is too long these days.
What do people at Puffer Sweiven think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
I don't even know who the CEO is at this point.
What was the most difficult question that was asked during your interview at Puffer Sweiven?
The most difficult questions for me are the ones that ask where I want to be in ten years. The good part about being 55 years old is that now I can say, "retired."
Does Puffer Sweiven have any remote positions?
Not that I know of. When I was there we did have one contracted proposal consultant in Atlanta, but I am not sure of his status now. The company is more of a "club" than most., with many barbecues and parties on-site. I guess the closest thing to a "remote" job would be outside sales.
How's the work life balance at Puffer Sweiven?
It's OK, I suppose. I was not there long enough to get a real sense of the balance, though.

A mix of religious ladies, good ol' Aggie boys, and rednecks but getting more and more diverse. I was the second Longhorn on board in Inside Sales.
What's the interview process like at Puffer Sweiven?
Long decision cycle, several months at least.
What part of Puffer Sweiven's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
I know one current employee. He says things are getting harder all over because of the oil slump. I suggest Puffer diversify away from fossil fuels.

Really good retirement (all of it is in company stock) but you have to be around forever to get vested.
