Mr. David M. Hatfield, also known as Dave, has been the President at Pure Storage, Inc. since January 15, 2013. Mr. Hatfield has been in the high technology industry more than 17 years leading sales, services, marketing and channel development teams in the infrastructure and internetworking space with emphasis on content delivery, high availability, security, storage and infrastructure management. He has 23 years of experience building high performance global sales, marketing and product delivery teams. He served as an Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Consulting at Limelight Networks, Inc. until December 31, 2012. He served as the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing, Products and Services for Limelight Networks, Inc. since March 2007. He served as Senior Vice President of Products, Marketing & Sales at Limelight Networks, Inc. His responsibilities at Limelight include leading global sales and marketing teams, as well as directing its product management, technical services and customer care organizations. Mr. Hatfield served as Vice President-General Manager of Professional Services for the Americas at Symantec Corporation from September 2006 to March 2007 and as the Vice President of Sales, Western Area, at Symantec from April 2005 to September 2006, where he held strategy, execution and profit and loss responsibility for business teams comprising nearly 500 associates operating across North, Central and South America. Prior to that, from December 2003 to April 2005, Mr. Hatfield served as Vice President of Sales of VERITAS Software. From October 2001 to October 2003, he served as the Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Rearden Commerce, Inc. (formerly Talaris Corporation). He led the North American direct sales organization of Akamai Technologies, Inc., which he joined in 1999. At Akamai, he played a key role in helping it establish itself as a leading content delivery services provider. He also served in a number of senior sales leadership positions at Akamai Technologies, Inc. from September 1999 to October 2001 and served as its Director of North America Sales. His career also includes leadership of teams at Reardon Commerce (formerly, Talaris Corporation), Gartner Group and Xerox Corporation. Mr. Hatfield holds a B.S. in Political Science from Santa Clara University in 1991.
