How common are layoffs at Quartet Health?
Top Employee Response
Very. Wasn't so in the beginning but very common these days.
Very
Happening right now, again, for the nth time. This company can't figure out a direction.
What's the company culture like at Quartet Health?
on the upswing. There is a very clear underlying seriousness that accompanies our mission, yet we still have that startup vibe. For awhile it felt like culture took a dip, there was no real emphasis on it or attempt to correct it, but in recent weeks that has changed and the executive team has dedicated time & resources to culture
Toxic. A bunch of dumb cookie cutter phrases like go beyond, embrace change and put we before me. These robotic aphorims are spouted by morons trying to praise their co-workers instead of just making a genuine connection.
What do people at Quartet Health think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
People like him overall, but sometimes I think people forget he's running a company and can't be your best friend around the office every week. He has made a very clear effort to be as present as possible and part of the company culture
People seem to dislike him lately , but they did like him in the beginning. He doesn't really show up much. He could do more to increase his presence, whether that's digitally or otherwise
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Quartet Health?
More events that emphasize a team environment. We have awesome people who want to spend time together and celebrate our wins, and cultivate that kind of an environment. We just need more team-oriented events.
Implement an actual remote work and vacation policy that is flexible and gives people the time they need and deserve for bending over backwards for this company.
What part of Quartet Health's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Revenue and patient engagements have grown incredibly fast
Nothing is growing fast. Our numbers are laughable. It's surprising we got a second round of funding, I'm curious to see which investor is ballsy enough for a third.
What interview questions does Quartet Health ask?
Did not go through formal interviewing
Depends heavily on what position .
What benefits does Quartet Health provide?
unlimited vacation, unlimited sick leave, parental leave, mental health benefits, health benefits, dental, life insurance, fee free 401k
Standard corporate benefits. Nothing exciting
How's the work life balance at Quartet Health?
great. When I joined a startup I expected more late nights, but on average I'm out of here at 6/6:30 with maybe 1 night a week I stay until 7:30
You have to force it, and risk a salty relationship with your manager in doing so.
How does Quartet Health make decisions around promotions?
with an internal interview process for open roles, otherwise it's performance/merit based
Based on who gets promoted, generally the loud mouths and the people who everyone generally gets along with. There is no promotional track for people just doing great work.
How's the vacation policy at Quartet Health?
unlimited. Ability to utilize it does vary team by team, on some (most) teams it doesn't make sense for everyone to be out at the same time. But on my team personally it is encouraged and I feel like I could take it whenever
"unlimited" but it's complete b.s. it's completely dependent on who your manager is. Some are cool, others ride your ass about not planning vacations like 5 months in advance, which is a ridiculously long time in that company.
What would cause you to leave your job at Quartet Health?
If our mission changed or there was not as much of an emphasis on it.
If I don't get a raise. If my manager decides to start acting like a jerk. If more people that I like leave.
How often do raises happen at Quartet Health?
Typically yearly. I've been here 7 months and received a 20% raise
Never. It's the biggest issue everyone has right now.
How common is it to switch departments or teams at Quartet Health?
very common, and open. I have personally been encouraged to speak up if there is another role/area I wanted to move to
Rare. You only hear about it every few months.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Quartet Health?
not difficult at all. Sometimes I leave early if I need to, but for the most part I don't work on weekends ever or late into the night
Very. There is a toxic expectation that you're always in the office and always staying until 7pm, then you go and get drunk with your coworkers. So yeah no social life.
How's the feedback proccess at Quartet Health?
open. I feel like I always know what's going on and could actively ask for and received feedback
Completely opaque. People get fired completely out of left field. Although the management claims that they work closely with individuals who are not performing well.
What kind of people succeed at Quartet Health?
The positive-minded doers.
Self starters, independent people.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Quartet Health?
being open & honest in the interview process, the #1 thing is mission-alignment and wanting to join this cause
Come across as someone who will do lots of work for very little pay.
How secure do you feel at your job at Quartet Health?
extremely. That has fluctuated in the past, but has increasingly become more stable
Not very . Constant pressure from our management to perform better, even when our performance is great. Clueless management.
What's the best part of your job at Quartet Health?
the people, the benefits, the flexibility, and above all the mission
My peers
How's the work pace at Quartet Health?
fast, but not as fast as I expected
Too fast. Overly PR management driven when the company does t even have a vision.
How do you feel about going to work at Quartet Health everyday?
I look forward to it
I am completely disengaged with everything happening at this company. The engineering managers are completely incompetent . The people are great though, and it's the only thing keeping me around.
How much diversity is there among employees at Quartet Health?
there is some, but there is definitely room for more
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Quartet Health?
more about the product itself
How challenged are you at Quartet Health?
I feel very challenged, and it's aiding in personal growth
What's the office vibe like at Quartet Health?
it's a startup, laid back and friendly
