The position was sold as being an actual consultant. Role is actually an account manager. We are overloaded with too many things to do that prevent us from creating actual consulting plans. Leadership says they are trying to alleviate the workload but instead come back with a new firedrill.

A more competitive pay would be a great start

Leadership needs to listen to the concerns of the customers, the employees and the consultants they hire to provide feedback. They need to stop rejecting ideas that go against what they have done for years.
