I have been privileged to see a number of different aspects of this company over a number of years and locations. I wish others could appreciate what I've seen and the evolution it's had and be less critical of any shortcomings, which all companies have.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I have been around for a very long time - nothing I went through is really germane.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are highly intelligent, always looking - and soliciting - for innovative ways to improve and grow the company.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My specific team is small and tight knit, so it's easy to stay committed to wanting to do things well and what's right for the company.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There is a "back office" vs. "front office" mentality that pits the one against the other that is just mentally exhausting to navigate. Being the messenger getting shot a lot lately, it can be demoralizing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It's complicated, because I recognize my position and it's ceiling, which I'm at, but there were changes to tax laws that impacted my out of pocket office expense situation that in effect caused me to lose money, which was a devastating hit for me.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
They do accept me as an individual - with all the quirks that entails - and they look for ways to fit the right people in the right positions based on that. When I've needed time off for a passion project here or there they've allowed it without question.
