Mr. Paul J. Cormier has been the President of Products & Technologies and an Executive Vice President at Red Hat, Inc. since April 2008 and May 2001 respectively. Mr. Cormier has also been an Interim Chief Technology Officer of Red Hat, Inc. since August 2014. He joined Red Hat in May 2001 as Executive Vice President, Engineering. He leads Red Hat's technology and products organizations, including engineering, product management and product marketing for Red Hat's technologies. He serves as a Strategic Advisor of EPIC Ventures. Mr. Cormier served as the President of Products & Technologies since April 2008 and its Executive Vice President of Engineering since May 2001. He served as an Executive Vice President of Engineering at JBoss Inc. since May 2001. Mr. Cormier's leadership and experience in enterprise technology has led to the introduction of Red Hat's acclaimed line of enterprise products, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux. He is instrumental in forging tight partnerships with many leading technology companies. He served as a Senior Vice President of Research and Development at BindView Development Corporation from March 1999 to May 2001, helping it to achieve market leadership in 2000. He joined BindView in March 1999 as Vice President of Research and Development. Mr. Cormier served as the Chief Technology Officer of Netect Internet Software Company from June 1998 to March 1999. He served as a Director of Software Engineering, Internet Security and Collaboration Product and Senior Director of Software Product Development and Internet Security Products of AltaVista Internet Software from January 1996 to June 1998. He has been a Director of Hortonworks, Inc. since October 2011. He serves as a Director at ObjectWeb Consortium. He served as a Director of SolarWinds, Inc. from July 15, 2014 to February 2, 2016. Mr. Cormier holds a B.S. in business administration from Fitchburg State College and an M.S. in software development and management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
