No where else in our industry do stylists get paid holidays and vacations, points given on anniversaries to get tools and equipment, flexible schedules, and opportunity for both professional and personal growth.
Commissionable split? Employee sick days? Have enough people on so i don't cut 5 people an hour then get yelled at because my cph is too high.

I believe it should be easier to get a raise in my salon there are days it’s extremely slow and hard to get a good amount of people in the door , I believe we should get a percentage of our services vs hourly minimum wage or even just updating

I went to cosmetology school and paid a lot of money to do so, they start you out at minimum wage with only one chance to get a raise. After getting your one raise, you never get another raise.

$8.00/hour is NO WHERE near enough to live in the Lehigh Valley. A yearly raise or at least a yearly bonus would be nice so we feel appreciated as an employee and not just another number.

Minimum wage is not acceptable for someone who went to school to learn a skill. You would be nothing without your stylists
You don't provide us with adequate tools so we have to spend our own money to purchase them which we cannot deduct from our taxes, we spend too much time doing inventory and shelf cleaning which interferes with our commission percentage, and 40% commission just doesn't cut it.

I feel like all Salon Leaders should be paid at least $18 an hour instead of getting paid commission. I felt over worked although I loved working for Smarstyle
