My coworkers overall are great, the location is super convenient, but upper management and home office really needs to appreciate us more because without us you have nothing.

Some of the people I work with and the convenience of having other stores and people around to connect with.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love my work. I love my trade. I am passionate about what I do, just not excited about big corporations taking advantage of us.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop making managers do Area Supervisor's jobs. They barely make enough doing their own jobs let alone making them do work they won't get paid for.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Most of the stylists I've worked with have been great. But because of the impossible work environment and minimal pay, we only attract lazy, untalented people anymore.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I didn't really have to interview so that was great, but in hindsight, the interview process really does need to be stricter and then maybe there wouldn't be so much turnover.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
You don't provide us with adequate tools so we have to spend our own money to purchase them which we cannot deduct from our taxes, we spend too much time doing inventory and shelf cleaning which interferes with our commission percentage, and 40% commission just doesn't cut it.
