Route Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Unlimited PTO and Health Insurance are the best compensation ever.

Review from Engineering Dept

The best part about my comp is my salary

Review from Engineering Dept

Salary seems fair and competitive w/ the market - really appreciate that the company invested in a study to evaluate market rates

Review from Marketing Dept

Free health insurance. Its a raise in itself.

Review from Customer Success Dept

100% healthcare premiums covered, 401k match

Review from Customer Success Dept

I have not fully taken advantaged of my compensation package so I am uncertain how to answer currently.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Medical and unlimited PTO really bring peace of mind. Our medical plan with bind is fantastic

Review from Engineering Dept

The Healthcare and Unlimited PTO

Review from Customer Support Dept

I think the health benefits as well as the unlimited PTO are some of the greatest things that Route offers their employees.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The unlimited paid time off.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Salary is below average even though my role is for a senior engineer

Review from Engineering Dept

Claims Team Member: I feel like solving tickets for customers is a vital part to Route and we should be compensated accordingly. I feel like we are getting paid an entry-level position for an incredibly important part of the company. Higher retention for the team and everyone is happy.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Reps talk and it is frustrating that someone that has been with the company for nearly a year is being paid less than someone who just started.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Raises are never brought up/talked about by my manager/team lead no matter how fantastic my efforts and work have been. When I bring them up these concerns, they seem to be pushed aside.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Reward the top performers. Let the top performers know they performing well.

Review from HR Dept

The stock grant is not as strong as other companies and the maternity/paternity leave is still not the industry standard of 3 months.

Review from Engineering Dept

If my base pay allowed me to cover my living expenses.

Review from Customer Support Dept

current comp is lower than other similar companies

Review from Engineering Dept

I feel like sometimes there is some secrecy with what people are getting paid and what their bonus is. So it makes me feel like I don't know if what I'm making is good or way less than other people. I wish people were more transparent.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel the bonus is low based on my position. As a key player in driving revenue in deal desk, it would make more sense to have a higher bonus based on revenue.

I have looked at salaries in my position at different companies and I have found that i'm getting underpaid still by almost $10k.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Equity compensation is purposely opaque and significantly under market. It's truly disappointing to work hard to build something knowing that equity comp is abysmal

Review from Sales Dept

Mostly that I am being paid the same as brand new people who were brought into a role that I have help build for a year while managing a larger team. As long as the promotion cycle goes according to plan, all is well.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Compering salary with other tech friends, it really looks like Route either pays under or holds people from going up a level and getting better compensation.

Review from Engineering Dept

My work as at a level above my current rating.

Review from Product Dept

I know that the changes I have made since being in my position have made a big impact. Even the market adjustment I received was slightly discouraging, especially when factoring in that there is a company I recently interviewed with that would be starting me at almost a 100% raise for the same job.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Our equity compensation is very low. Our benefits are poor, but not nearly as poor as equity comp. We are laggards in these areas compared to not only the global market, but also Utah. When we evaluate these things I'd wish we would evaluate them as leaders and standouts, innovating.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel like I deserve higher pay, the strict timeline guidelines laid out around internal promotion make it seem like it may be quicker to look elsewhere rather than waiting 1-2 years in your role with no hope of promotion regardless of performance.

Review from Customer Success Dept

The base salary is not competitive.

Review from Sales Dept

No 401k match, no equity rewards, low salary
