Mr. A. Douglas McGregor, also known as Doug, serves as Group Head of Capital Markets and Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) at RBC Capital Markets. Mr. McGregor has been Group Head of Capital Markets & Investor & Treasury Services at Royal Bank of Canada since December 04, 2013. He serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Capital Markets Inc. and RBC Capital Markets LLC. He is a Member of the Group Executive of RBC. His responsibilities are focused on managing the firm's investment banking, lending, research and equity trading divisions. He also heads the firm's real estate and investment banking business. He served as a Co-Chief Executive Officer of Capital Markets at Royal Bank of Canada. He served as Co-Group Head of Capital Markets and Investor & Treasury Services for Royal Bank of Canada until December 2013 and Co-Group Head of Capital Markets since November 2008. He was responsible for driving client relationships and managing RBC's investment banking, equity agency trading and credit businesses. He served as the Head of Global Investment Banking and Equity Markets of RBC Dominion Securities Inc. He also headed the North American real estate brokerage, financing, capital markets and advisory business of RBC Capital Markets. He served as Co-President of RBC Capital Markets Corporation (now RBC Capital Markets LLC) since February 7, 2007 and also served as its Co-Chief Executive Officer. He has extensive financial services industry experience. He served as Managing Director of RBC Capital Markets Real Estate Group, Inc. He served as Co-President of RBC Capital Markets Inc. He began his investment banking career in 1979 with Pitfield MacKay Ross Limited, a predecessor firm to RBC Dominion Securities Inc., first in corporate finance and then in institutional equity sales. In 1983 he became a real estate investment banker with Marcil Trust which was later acquired by RBC Capital Markets in 1990. Mr. McGregor served as a Director at RBC Europe Limited until February 10, 2016. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mount Sinai Foundation. He served as a Director of TMX Group Inc. from July 26, 2006 to May 7, 2007. He is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Public and Private Real Estate Companies and a Member of the Advisory Committee for the York University Faculty of Real Estate. He served as the Chairman and Industry Director at Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (Investment Dealers Association Of Canada). He is a Member of the University Health Network Board of Trustees. Mr. McGregor holds an Hons. BA in Business and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
