Mr. Scott M. Quist has been the Chief Executive Officer of Security National Financial Corporation since September 14, 2012 and has been its President since July 2002. Mr. Quist served as President of Southern Security Life Insurance Company, Inc. since July 2002, Chief Operating Officer since October 2001 and General Counsel since December 1998. He served as General Counsel of Security National Financial Corporation. since May 1986. Mr. Quist served as First Vice President of Security National Financial Corporation from May 1986 to July 2002 and First Vice President of Southern Security Life Insurance Company from December 1998 to July 2002. From 1980 to 1982, Mr. Quist was a tax specialist with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, & Co., in Dallas, Texas. From 1986 to 1991, he served as Treasurer and a Director of The National Association of Life Companies, a trade association of 642 insurance companies until its merger with the American Council of Life Companies. Mr. Quist is a member of the Board of Governors of the Forum 500 Section (representing small insurance companies) of the American Council of Life Insurance. Mr. Quist has also served as a Regional Director of Key Bank of Utah since November 1993. Mr. Quist has been the Chairman of Security National Financial Corporation since September 14, 2012. Mr. Quist serves as a Director of the National Alliance of Life Companies, a trade association of over 200 life companies. He has been a Director of Southern Security Life Insurance Company, Inc. since December 1998 and Security National Financial Corporation since May 1986. Mr. Quist holds a B.S. in Accounting and Law Degree both from Brigham Young University.
