Executive Bio

Mr. Gregory T. Sangalis, also known as Greg, has been the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Service Corporation International since July 2007. Mr. Sangalis served as Managing Director of Main Street Capital Corporation. In addition to his duties with Main Street Equity Ventures, he serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for FabTech, a Main Street Equity Ventures portfolio company. He served as Senior Vice President - Law and Administration of Team Inc. since January 31, 2005, Senior Vice President of Law, Organization Development & Administration from June 1, 2007 to June 22, 2007, Secretary from January 2005 to June 22, 2007 and also its General Counsel from January 2005 to June 22, 2007. He served as Managing Director and General Counsel of Main Street Equity Ventures II. His professional background includes the practice of law in the merger and acquisitions area both in private practice and as an in-house attorney in various industries. Prior to Main Street Equity Ventures, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Waste Management, Inc. and also served as an advisor to a large privately held automobile distributorship on e-commerce initiatives. In the mid-80's, he served as the lead Acquisitions Lawyer for Waste Management, Inc. successfully closing over 200 acquisitions per year for several years. He served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of USA Waste Services, Inc. (including its merger with Waste Management in 1998). He served as General Counsel of Peavey Company and was engaged in the private practice of law with a Minneapolis law firm. He received a B.S. in Finance and Industrial Relations from Indiana University and his MBA and J.D. with honors from the University of Minnesota.
