This is not an environment for African Americans. There is simply no where to go in this company. All of the top executives are white and older. There are speckles of women here and there. The opportunity to advance is non existent.

They do offer a ton of benefits for purchase, ie. Legal, additional life, Aflac and more. PTO could be good if you could ever use it, there is so much work and lazy people that you come in on your day off just to catch up. They should allow rollover PTO

The pay needs to be higher. Its difficult to justify working in a high stress role and being paid so little, i think this company takes advantage of associates who are passionate about the work.

My original funeral home was so wonderful and the only reason SCI gets addtl star. They really asked why I wanted to work there and if the FH was a good fit than waste anyones time. My interview was 3 hours long and I loved every min of it. Oregon basically when can I start
The interview process itself was easy, the waiting period was a bit lengthy though about a month from the interview to start date.
